Was not having a go, was trying to figure out why UTD and Pogba have not turned up against the top 5?
See my post above. We're much better with Pogba in the team, that's obvious, at least to some.

We've played against Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea and City with him either unavailable through suspension or injured. I guess that answers your point.
He literally didn’t turn up.

Ref Sánchez Anyone else find the city thing odd? They were prepared to pay far more overall in the summer than any deal will cost united.
They fancied VVD but didn’t pursue him when he was available .Where are they ffp wise ?

They dont need him...if he really wants to sit and wait as he is desperate to reunite with Pep, then he can sit and wait for 5-6 months and City get him on a free.

In City's current position, not having him for the remainder of the season isn't the end of the world and means they have 35m to spend on other players in the summer.

Does FFP impact them? They can just get another set of sponsorship off one of their owners others companies to offset it.

I think they’re just trying to settle down a bit amd not be seen as the ultimate cash cow for all players. I don’t expect it to last long if they struggle in the CL.

I’m still convinced that Sánchez will end up at City and they’re just playing a public game of brinkmanship with him.

Why though. Sanchez will bide his time til the summer or Utd don't want him really or his demands are too high (which they probably are, for any club)

He's good, but he ain't £400k a week good.

BBC now saying:

There is no agreement in place for Manchester United forward Henrikh Mkhitaryan to join Arsenal in exchange for Alexis Sanchez, a source close to Mkhitaryan has told the BBC.

It is understood Sanchez has agreed personal terms with United.

But neither Arsenal nor United will sanction the deal without Mkhitaryan travelling in the opposite direction.

The 28-year-old Armenian is believed to be deliberating over the move and is in no rush to make a final decision.

As if to prove a point about Pogba's importance. Sky very kindly posted this today.

I think alot depended on the Jesus injury. Initially he was out for a 2-3 months so Sanchez deal makes sense, but now the injury is supposed to be minor they can hold out for Sanchez in the Summer.

35m in today’s market might buy you a players foot.

Latest is Sanchez/Mikhy would be a swap deal with no fee either way. I'll take that.

That would be a superb deal for you.

With reference to another age - reading through some of the Cyrille Regis tributes I ended up on a 6 minute yout tube highlights clip of the game were there beat you 5-3 at Old Trafford.

I don't post it to wum, but anyone interested should seek it out. It's a great little reminder of all the good and bad within football of the time compared to all the talk of 350k a week these days. There a small interview with both managers at the end which is worth watching if anyone can be arsed.

Mhiki will doubtless do well and the press will go that Jose didn’t give him a chance ,despite him being an automatic selection for the first part of the season and him playing utter turd.

Back in the day where you’d turn up toma match and not know if we were going to win 5-0, lose 5-0 or draw 3-3. Great fun, but never going to lead to any sort of title challenge.

Mikhi has had a fair crack at the whip.
He may yet find his feet, but we cannot he asked to trust in that and ignore his performances. He cannot complain if he is shipped out.

BBC have just reported on the TV that Sanchez has agreed terms and it'll either be £35m cash, or, a straight swap for Micky T. They're just waiting on Micky's decision as to whether he wants to leave.

Either way I'd be happy. He was outstanding in the Europa League last season but hasn't had an impact in the premiership. Micky is down the pecking order, has been more Kagawa than JiSung Park get rid. I hope he does well if he goes to Arsenal.

Sanchez will be outstanding wherever he goes but I do think if he comes to us, fair play to Ed.
