The Official Manchester United Thread [vol 7]
Discussion
Mourinho signed a new 4 year deal at Chelsea just months before he was sacked. I've stated my opinions on his second stint in the other thread - generally poor behaviour, digs at Wenger (boring, constant, unnecessary) and then the disgraceful antics which forced Eva Carnerio out of the club. Not toxic in the slightest

Yep - he's absolutely ecstatic. Which is why he has a face like a wet weekend every time he is interviewed.
You'd be pissed off too if you lived in a travel tavern like he does.jcremonini said:
You've made some (very) poorly qualified statements and I've corrected you. Why would I be upset ?
Because you and your fellow Rentboys seem to have a big chip on your shoulder about JM and I expect the same when Conte leaves at the end of the season (assuming he makes it that far). It's gotta be hurting those that are desperate for Jose and United to part ways, so they can say I told you so. but all the evidence points to a happy, contented coach who's focussed on him and his team doing the best possible job for United. Certainly recently at least. I'm told that behind the scenes he's very content spends time with his family in London and enjoys his work.
I for one am really excited about what the future has in store.

I have no clue how happy he is and I am nervous with his history, but I'd love him to stay for a good while yet.I for one am really excited about what the future has in store.

I’m less concerned about him leaving, as I think he’s happy and the little spat with Conte will have put a spring in his step, as he’s clearly seen him off. I do remain concerned about his tactics in some games and then sitting back after scoring. I’d like to see us smash a few of the lesser teams just to put that early season confidence back in the side ahead of any matches against our rivals for the CL spots this year.

Agreed. I can definitely see the team have more swagger about them now and I think we're in very good shape for the second half of the season. Saw an FB post earlier about Conte's record since they started digging each other out, 3 0-0's or something, struggled again tonight as well Having supported Utd for more than 40yrs I'm more than happy with the current arrangements and the underlying money machine that UTD are. It would be a long long disaster of a decline before they got anywhere near being bit part players regardless of what City have to spend.
The knack for utd and the rest now is being able to crack the nut that is Pep and block them in the big games. Still way too early to worry about city, long term. They are just another "chelski"

Liking Arsene’s little dig at city ,also looking like Ddg is going to sign a new contract .
What did he say? "It's up to them how much they pay. United is a club very well managed financially so I don't have a problem."
