Feel a bit sorry for miki tbh. It doesn’t sound like he wants to go at all and would rather stay and prove himself. Seems like he’s been forced out a bit while riola cashes in again. It’s a shame it’s not worked out but I’m sure we can all agree he’s given it 100% and he will get a good reception when he comes back smile
Every ex-United player gets a good reception on their return (apart from one big time Charlie who went to Liverpool, although that’s now forgiven).

I have to say that I’m disappointed in his performances for us. He should’ve been so much better. His last match for us was a disgrace and looked like he knew it was game over then. I’ll wish him good luck at Arsenal, but can’t help thinking he’s blown his big chance to make a truly successful career.

Lots of unfilled promise at UTD. The odd genuine flash of sublime and a promise of what we'd hoped for. He looks like he needs a fresh start now elsewhere.
Sanchez will be the change/missing option up front, given Ibra is unlikely to be more than a bit part. Exciting times if he comes, strong options up front then.

A few of the papers are reporting he's left the team hotel and said his goodbyes, think this is almost done

Yes several papers reporting they have both said goodbye .
Mhiki was odd, first few games he looked tremendous but then it looked like prem teams figured him out, give him a kick and he loses interest.
Can’t complain he was an automatic choice at start of season but was completely invisible in far too many games.

I agree. Real shame it didn't work out as there is a player in there but not one that fits at United. Sanchez has all the hallmarks of a United player but he still has to first of all sign and then do the business on the pitch. He'll be very hungry to do the latter.

I think most of us will agree that a straight swap is a significant(?) upgrade to the benefit of United.

Makes me laugh how some are saying that Sanchez could have a de-stabilising effect on United's team morale. It's simple to explain that this is likely Sanchez' last big contract and as his transfer fee is effectively Zero the club can afford to pay him more. I expect that some of the other players when it comes time to re-negotiate may be able to get similar terms but they'll all appreciate that Sanchez' leverage comes from the short period left on his contract, his age and ability. Doubt he'll be getting £500k a week regardless.

Reading between the lines it makes you wonder if Sanchez' preferred move was to United all along. Making a mockery of the suggestion that we've lost our appeal and that our noisy neighbours are holding all the cards now.

Fingers crossed this deal can go through today and we can unleash Sanchez on Spurs.

The whole Sánchez disrupts the dressing room is bks. He might have done that at Arsenal as he was clearly not going to sign another contract and that probably annoyed his teammates. Choosing to join a new club, sign a big (and possibly last) contract and then having to get to know his new teammates is a whole different thing.

It’s like the guy who’s working his notice and moving to a bigger, better job. It tends to upset those staying put who can’t improve their lot in life hehe

Assuming he signs
The press hate the fact they got it wrong with them all saying he was going to city, and the fact he will strengthen united .
Andy grey called it when he said they are ignoring the fact he is joining one of the biggest clubs in the world and will be wearing one of the most iconic shirts in world football .
As the mirror journo said ,the salary etc are only what he would have got in the summer as a free agent .

It’s been massively entertaining watching them
All choke .
Now just bloody well complete the deal.

But I thought the press were all pro United?

Shaw on the bench as soon as Ashley's 3 match ban has come to an end.

Got to win today or the pack will be upon us.

Which would make the Spuds away game huge.

Not at our best today, wasteful in front of goal but Tony M coming up with the goods. Burnley played well. So happy to get 3 points.

Scrappy win is still a win. 3 points, no more Burnley this year. Dire, but a fine goal and no injuries / suspensions. A Chilean spark will do this bunch no end of good.

Also full marks to Mike Dean for doing his very best to give Burnley more time. 5 mins ffs, then he still plays 1 minute more ( I do appreciate the irony of a man utd supporter complaining about extra time).

All things considered that was a big win today given the average performance.
9 points gap, can't do anymore than keep winning and hope.

The Sanchez saga has put to bed any doubt that huge sections of the press are still ABUs. They’re gutted that Sanchez chose the world’s biggest club over a plastic club.

Ditto quite a few other team’s supporters on here. They’d have no issue with a State sponsored club paying him silly money a week, but because we are, they’re all up in arms.

It’s great that we still upset the others

See BCM is in full on ABU mode with his quite sickening love for City.

Makes me want to puke.
