I know. But I'm interested in how he'll justify this.

He's an out and out WUMABU.
He won’t, he’ll run off giggling to himself amd PM Mickk and Ascayman for a little circle jerk about how ace his WUMs are. For someone who is in his 50s as a minimum he’s a weird character. What I find truly bizarre is his open support for City. It’s fine to appreciate the football other teams can play, but to desert your own team so readily is, in his words, abhorrent.

Anyway, I’ve heard we’re signing a 4 year old from Stalybridge Nursery for £670million and paying him £1.2m a day. Wonder what the forums will make of that? I’m worried because his biological clock is ticking and he’s not getting any younger.

No point engaging, he’s just outright trolling now.
Yep. It’s just odd.

BBC are reporting the Sanchez/Mkhitaryan deal has been agreed.

It’s still conjecture. When the press conference happens to announce him as a United player I’ll believe it, but until then it’s just paper talk.

Missed the game as I’m away with st internet .
Sounds like I didn’t miss much ,but Burnley have caused plenty of issues for all these other supposedly fast free flowing teams this season so 1-0 away from home in st weather will do quite nicely .
Sánchez debut vs spuds hopefully .

The Sanchez saga has put to bed any doubt that huge sections of the press are still ABUs. They’re gutted that Sanchez chose the world’s biggest club over a plastic club.
Ditto quite a few other team’s supporters on here. They’d have no issue with a State sponsored club paying him silly money a week, but because we are, they’re all up in arms.

It’s great that we still upset the others
I think you're mixing two issues. The first is the crazy money Sanchez wage will likely be the obvious high one due to his contract left and being a decent player. But so many people have been commenting on all clubs paying crazy money, so it is not just United.

The second issue that you seem to combine with the first is that given City's squad Sanchez signing for them will just give them depth, not likely improve them massively. Given your team, you likely improve. So better a plastic team gets him as it is the squad least improved when a rival gets him.

The second point is a bit weird.city currently have the best team and squad and there is little between the 3 or 4 teams beneath them ,I think most of us agree on that point.Signing one of the leagues best players would undoubtedly improve them and take them further away from the rest of the pack.

It would depend on your ambition,if you want to win the league you would not want city strengthening surely? If your happy to just compete for 2nd ,third or fourth then of course you want city to sign him over one of your perceived rivals for those positions.

Interesting viewpoint, but not convinced by the second point my agree with franki’s comment. There seems to be a groundswell of opinion that somehow City play the greatest football ever, scoring a goal every 15 seconds. However, United turn up and just kick the ball out for a throw in every time they get it. I’m not saying that you’re part of that, but that extreme view seems to be why there’s so much anger towards Sánchez joining us.

There is a footballing side to this. He could be our Cantona for this decade. City have clicked this season, but so what. They were crap last year, they could be crap next year. They will win th title this year, but next year could be different. Eventually teams get found out. That’s got to give hope to the rest of the PL. nobody wants a Bayern, or a Celtic set up. As st as a La Liga set up would be, at least there’s hope for others, a s this season is sort of proving.

With respect, I don't think City were crap last season, 78 points from 38 games and finishing third is hardly crap.

But yes, Chelsea did run away with it.

United weren't even in the top five.

Should be interesting next year I'll agree, I think all the top six are getting better generally

Who would be out of the team for City if Sanchez moved there? And who would be out of the team when he moves to you? That's the point - he's a lot less likely to end up improving them compared to you in most people's opinion who are not Man U fans.

Although as you said, if they then had someone out of form etc it would be more difficult in the longer term to be going ahead of City when they could use him instead.

City have been nothing special in plenty of games this season ,but yet they have won .That is the sign of quality .
Anyone suggesting united are dull every game is frankly a Cupid stunt ,we’ve had bad games and good game like most teams .Some of the football we’ve played has been excellent .2nd in the league ,3rd highest goalscorers and played the bulk of games so far without our most influential
Player Pogba and our best defender.

Without going full on WUMABU ( funny by the way & i like it )

2 shots on target yesterday ! Surely a team with the players United have must be better than that.

Sanchez will improve Utd but is it too late for this season? The league's gone. Not sure if he's cup tied for the CL but the CL is a long shot regardless.

He isn't

For those asking where he would play, I suspect he'll replace Mata in the main. Can play anywhere across the front 3

You were pretty crap. I had a City mates going mental given the potential that the squad had and the result you were getting. Finishing 3rd was not what a team of that value or calibre should’ve delivered.

I didn’t claim we were any good either last year, trying to deflect away like that is a Trump style argument. It doesn’t alter your team’s failings last year.

I’m hoping for a more even season, as what you’re doing this year is quite astonishing and will be very difficult to repeat.

Not cup tied. I think the CL is a pipe dream, but there’s more chance of that than the PL this season.

I never said that in my post above. If you take another example if a decent keeper comes up for sale and you and us (Liverpool) were both in for him most rivals would want you to get him, as he likely won't improve you much. Whereas we'd get a big improvement and likely quite a lot more points as we're weaker in that position relatively.

Really don’t see the relevance with regards to my post, you have good game and bad games ,and sometimes you need to grind out a result .burnley defend well as a unit ,and united were wasteful .
