Well you wouldn't would you, you support Liverpool and you're only really 'bitter' rivals are United and that's not a true derby. Listen to Wilkins, Conti and others on the subject and you'll learn something. This proposition has been talked about at length on talksport and elsewhere.

And Tottenham vs City is not a "passionate affair". It's an intriguing game as is vs Liverpool. Totts vs Chelsea & West Ham et all are passionate affairs.

Anyway this is going around in circles now. Bye.
You believe Liverpool v Everton is not bitter

Get to a game and to the pubs before the game...might open your eyes to the derby behind the so called friendly derby Sky like to try and promote

That's nuts. Every top 6 club wants to beat each other with equal passion, regardless of whether it's a derby.

On top of that you have local derbies like Spurs vs West Ham and Liverpool vs Everton. I don't think any of the top six clubs have any more difficult games because of locality.
Less travel for the cockneys.

What would you say is the most bitter rivalry in Spain for example.
RM v Barca?
or
RM v AM?

He has a point of sorts. The sheer size of London compared to either Manchester or teenie tiny little Liverpool means that they do have more difficult games over the course of a season.

I thought so, albeit overblown by the likes of Whinger. Derbies can be a leveler of quality to some extent, and London clubs have more of them.

Not sure why its worth getting your knickers in a twist over TBH

I think both are a bit before my time. I did see Shamrock talk about jim or im or whatever he was called and there’s only one way that could happen biggrin because if its before my time then its years before his.

I’m not sure the rivalries exist so much on the pitch these days,it’s now more a fan thing .
The game is full of foreigners who have little appreciation of such stuff.
Football is now so sanitised it’s hard for that edge to appear.

Somewhat at odds with the idea of a derby.

Why is Wilkins saying that it's harder for London clubs to win the league again exactly? Who are the current champions? scratchchin Besides, who cares?

It's hard to win the league full stop, although City have just made it look easier than anybody else of late!

What a crock...

tongue out

To be honest I don’t have a problem with Spurs, coming on here is real eye-opener and doesn’t represent reality. When our biggest rivals were Arsenal I was always cheering on the spuds against them. I’m amazed at the hate on here and appalled when I see Mancs teaming up with the Scousers to have a pop at them. ‘My enemies enemy is my friend’ and all that.

Yeah, I know, just watch somebody chop out the “I was always cheering on the spuds” from the sentence above for future use laugh

Probably YOU. hehe

Not sure there's a lot in it - if anything - ALL Premiership games are tough - or should be anyway - that's why there are a few upsets.

When it was SAF v Arsenal and Blackburn (for one season or so) - the games were easier - esp when Fergie had his ready-made Class of 92 (and Giggs) ...

It was very much a one horse race usually. Bit different now (and all the better for it for the neutral)

Complete rubbish. London clubs benefit from having slightly more games for which they don't have to travel far, so it is all swings and roundabouts.
