He's not our player, he was Real's.

He'll always have a place in our hearts and I hope he does well at Juve.

There was a time when I was desperate to get him back but for the last few years been resigned to him not returning.

Not really no, I got fed up with him on his 5th attempt to use our name to get more money out of Real

Ronaldo would have been a novelty circus act and detracted from all the other excellent players we have. He's still fabulous but at the start of the end of his career and I don't think he'd have done as much in the prem.
Now if we were signing hazard or Willian or similar I would be getting excited.

The PL is way too physical and fast for him now. Italy is the perfect destination for him to see out his last few years.

Hero he was but he's used us time and time again to get a better contract and Gavia is right. I think Ronaldo knows it too hence the move, he can be a big fish in a small pond one last time
