This season is already looking like another one to forget, and it hasn’t started yet. It won’t change until Mou goes. He’s lost it completely. Negative, fearful, self-obsessed and tired.
The fact that there is virtually no interest in the players united are trying to sell shows what a poisoned chalice he inherited.

Not sure about that. He has a good enough squad to play vastly better football. He’s just not a good manager these days. He makes players fearful, rather than confident.

What a hard man! I’m impressed.
Nothing to do with being a hard man, you're boring and negative

You were the same last season, you were the same about England and Southgate during the world cup

You're just a prick

Grow up. It’s pathetic having to listen to how upsetting you find it when people disagree with you.

Come on guys, we’re all allowed an opinion. Plenty of WUMs and ABUs to aim at instead.

Ord is pretty negative but a lot of what he says is not far off the mark IMV, even if the delivery is a bit blunt.

I take it you haven’t seen the team we started with, and the fact it’s pre-season.
I wasn't talking about just this match, or just this pre-season... I was talking about the abysmal standard of football utd have played under him for pretty much his entire tenure.

It’s not as though anyone really disagrees that Mou has lost it - they just don’t like hearing it. I can sort of understand that.

I know I’m very negative most of the time, but that’s largely because I grew up in the glory years and because I can see a lot of wasted talent in the side.

I’ll make an effort to be more balanced.

We should think at least we aren't supporting a ste team in a ste league. Or spurs...
:-)

Seriously tho it's easy pickings for WUM at the mo. Picking up on pre season games that mean nothing, going on about Jose, it's all just talk. We shouldn't get too negative ourselves.

Jose is going nowhere, hell get 2 more seasons I guess . We'll get a few new players in and a few will leave eventually. And we'll be there or thereabouts if we can improve on the attacking play, I'm hopeful for a better midfield with Fred and Pogba given time.

I would have to agree with ORD, and not as a WUM. You've something like a £300 million net spend in the last 4? years. You've signed players like Pogba, Sanchez etc and it seems they are just not allowed to play in a fluid attacking way that would get the best from them. Jose's comments about Pogba after the world cup kinda summed it up for me. Jose said something like Pogba should think about what he did to play well for France and do it at United. To me it is the opposite - Jose is so conservative a lot of the time it stops players like Pogba playing the way he did for France.

Jose used enough money that quite a lot of the rubbish should be moved on now (in the first team). Have to see how you actually do, as you did well to finish 2nd last year. Maybe you do the same again.

If you just focus on the squad, there’s a lot of room for optimism. It’s probably the second best in the PL, which means we have good enough players to win it. It’s the failure to make the side play that is so concerning, but Fred should improve it.

ORD I apologise for the language used was out of order

I find you very knee jerk and negative is all

We need to see how the season goes, we've not finished the transfer window yet and I reckon we'll get a couple in to help

Sanchez has looked good in preseason as has Pereira.

I just want the season to start now

I would agree that the 2nd last year was more because of the talent of the players, rather than Jose getting them to it - if that makes sense?

Very disappointed in last nights game, I thought that we were too slow to get out, trying to beat Liverpool's press with longer passes but to players without support. Hard to take too many positives out of last night but Andreas Perreira was definitely one of them. Shaquiri's goal was outstanding so that was great to see, pity he was playing for the opposition when he did it though!

Liverpool deserved to win but in the grand scheme of things it means nothing. That was reaffirmed to me when I saw a fan in the crowd dressed in a Liverpool top singing a United song last night. rolleyes

I think we need the boost of a few signings before the season kicks off. A friend of mine is in Barbados at the moment and sent me a picture of Harry Maguire with his two kids on the beach, captioned "Man Utd's new signing", if he has some ITK knowledge I coudn't tell you, but I hope he's right!

No good having forwards if you can’t get to ball to them.if pogba didn’t play or had a bad game ( and anyone who thinks he was brilliant every game at Juve should give up watching football) there was no service.no delivery from full backs ,the centre halves struggled to pass forward,no right wing and maddingly inconsistent performances from the left wing.
Start of last season I said we were still 3-4 players short and everyone said ‘nah’ and then by the end everyone saying we are 3-4 players short.
He inherited a crap team, most of the signings he made improved the team ,but the issue is far bigger than the manager (let’s see that’s 3 managers now who can’t get the best of these (amazing) players ?)
The chief exec is happy to finish 4th and has spent god knows how long trying to sign Ronaldo or bale etc, refusing the manager funds for the players he actually wAnts ,I mean we didn’t buy perisic because Woodward wouldnt sanction an extra 5m????

Some truth to that. We do rely to a ridiculous extent on Pogba. We have to be realistic about the (lack of) quality of our other midfielders.
