Just because you didn't see it in the press doesn't mean it didn't happen - Plenty of people did see it, it was all over the net.I just found it very odd that he would call out the Captain publically - if you and UTD fans find it fine, then fine, its a forum though its meant to be used for discussing things.
Like when Ascay put an opinion in yesterday you jumped all over him - are only UTD fans allowed an opinion? remember this is PH not RedCafe
All I was trying to get at is Jose is taking some flack at the moment - from the outside even with UTD fans there seems a lot of unrest, so at the time he has a squad of what he calls 'not his players' you would want 'your players' with you more than ever ?

The interviews Shaw has given on the tour, who's Had more stick from Jose than anyone else have been really interesting. Instead of spitting his dummy he's acknowledged the criticism was fair and done something about it. And a key point was that the public only read the press. They don't get to see and hear the encouragement behind the scenes.
Tbh I can take or leave the football threads sometimes lol. Its really suprised me the negativity from our own fans at times, it's not like we've not won 3 trophies, finished second and just spent £75m on new blood lol :-)
I'm sure there are lots of ups n downs to come next week and this season. I don't really know who has the best chance of stopping city but it's down to 4 teams at best I think. We'll be there or thereabouts even if they play like last season and don't improve overall.

Its the instant hit of big money and chopping and changing managers that's spoiled fans. No one has patience any more. Throw in endless media news/rumourmongering and people get too twitchy too soon. It takes time for a manager to change things even with an unlimited budget like Peps had.

All he said was he had too much holiday and his condition was not good, then injured so sent him back.

Woodward wants to turn united into the Harlem globetrotters of football , and do it by running the club like a business ,the football aspect is not really their priority,New York yankees have shown the owners you don’t need to win stuff to be commercially succesful
As I understand it several of the signings made under Jose were not his choice ,they were signed because they were a cheaper option.
He has been told to sell before buying but they are struggling to sell because mediocre players on are double or more what they are actually worth ,for example some reserve players are on more than other teams best players .
For all the earnings the club still has serious debt and I think Jose is fully in his rights to come out and address the issue.
He is a nob for the constant criticising of players though ,I fail to see a single benefit that brings .
As a final thought watch the United ‘rondo’ training session and tell me if you still think we have a great squad who he doesn’t get the best out of.
