It is noticeable. Somebody, I think it was Gavia, raised the point that whilst Tottenham were losing recently nobody from on here trolled the Spurs thread. But we do get them and Liverpool fans coming in here. Yes, I had a little dig at them on here questioning whether Pochettino was going to get villified by the press as his team had lost 3 on the bounce. Of course that didn't happen as we all love Guardiola, Klopp and Pochettino.
To be honest it's not unexpected and we are playing ste.
Spuds get loads of crap, so do we but so far this season it's not happened due to the results. Also the difference is the Spurs had a dip, but still have the setup in place that has got them being the most consistent top team in quite a few seasons. People were also making lots of comments about Poch being unhappy due to not getting money in the summer and it perhaps affecting him. You lot seem to be falling apart with it being down to the leadership, manager and players. That's quite different from a few bad games, and will take a lot longer to fix. Plus a lot of the WUM comments are ones opposition fans have posted for over a season now - saying the results were "lucky" compared to how your team was, and a lot was down to the start you had. I disagree that you can be lucky over a season, but it does seem that things are all over the place now.To be honest it's not unexpected and we are playing ste.

Today in the press conference? Or are you saying he's inferring that? He's said today that there are some players that care more than others.
Over to you Antonio....earn your armband.

I think he doesn’t know what characters he has with these players and he’s challenging them to sink or swim.
Yeah, maybe. He's been here 2.5 years though, you would think by now he would who he can call on to produce when the chips are down.I wonder what the reaction would be if he just picked his trusted players completely for tomorrow (assuming he has 11). It wouldn't be the best team for sure, but I wonder if it would see an effort put in?
Maybe.
I'd like him to be bold and install Dalot as his number 1 RB but that would mean Valencia not playing.
I think he's trying to be all things to all men and trying to keep them all happy by giving them all game time and a chance if their opposition (in the squad) isn't playing too well. But this tinkering is hurting us and as each game goes by without a result it heaps more pressure.
He's not afraid of making the big calls. Sanchez can have no complaints and to be fair hasn't said st about his situation to my knowledge. He knows he has to perform it is the least we can expect from him.

But it does come down to salary! Why did Sanchez come to you? Cos you were willing to pay him what he wanted ... if someone else had been wiling to pay him more, he'd have gone there. These guys have no inherent LOVE for the club!? WHy would you think they would have - they're form the other side of the world for a start!
He's always loved United.
In his first interview as an Old Trafford resident, the Chilean superstar said: “Since I was a young lad I’ve always said that my dream was to play for Manchester United.
“And I’m not just saying that because I’m here now.
“I always said as a kid that I’d like to play for United and I once spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson about it.
“We chatted for around 20 minutes. And I told him that my dream was to come here to Manchester United.”

I think it does, the owners are exclusively interested in how much money the club can make them, this filtered down .
Players are bought for commercial not football reasons ,managers are recruited but then not given the tools required (Jose has not been able to buy who he wants and from I gather quite a few of the signings made under him were not his choice ,or at best were his 4th or 5th choices in that position.
Blaming the manager is all well and good but the football quality has been poor really for 8-9 years ,we got away with it due to Ferguson and a core of world class players .Years of underinvestment Resulted in united falling behind city and the pathetic recruitment policy since has been a panic situation playing catch up.
We have the second highest wage bill in football and a bunch of mercenaries strolling around the pitch .
Slightly different perspective to the one I was thinking of and I agree with what you've said.Players are bought for commercial not football reasons ,managers are recruited but then not given the tools required (Jose has not been able to buy who he wants and from I gather quite a few of the signings made under him were not his choice ,or at best were his 4th or 5th choices in that position.

My perspective was more of, if you had a DoF with an ethos set in stone, you wouldn't be buying players only for commercial reasons - not unless those players first suited that ethos.
And I don't get this, "the players weren't Jose's 1st choice, sometimes they were 4th or 5th choice" BS. If they're on a listed of players that Jose is happy with, then he can't complain even if they are 4th or 5th choice - if they can't do the job, don't put them on the list! He should take a leaf out of Klopp's book and if the type of player he wants isn't available then don't settle for someone who is a gamble and just wait until a player does become available.

Quite a funny moment in the presser today involving Neil Custis of The Sun.

That is what he is saying, signed to many players who just want the money not the club Very few players would play for a club knowing that somebody else would pay them far more, unless they were their boyhood club, examples include Beckham at United, Mike Doyle at City and Shearer at Newcastle.

Jose came across loads better today in his press conference
So it seems Ronaldo has been accused of, and practically admitted to, rape: https://old.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/9kk9i7/br...
