Reminds me of Stoke away under LVG when he was under pressure and asked for a reaction - he didn’t get one. Maureen didn’t get one here. It’s close to the end.

Keep typing out things, but just can't be arsed. So I won't bother trying to hard as that seems to be our way now.

We stank. Not as stinky as West Ham, but still whiffy. More effort, but technically just appalling. League 1 level from some of them out there, but they are the ones Jose trusts most (Matic, Lukaku), so what hope is there. 1 substitution, even the manager isn't trying. Just end it, someone, please.

Don't bother, there weren't any.

Well I watched the game and I didn't think they played too badly, they certainly put more effort in than of late.

Things seem to go from bad to worse for Sanchez, he didn't look happy to be pulled off.

Still, when he counts his pay packet it will put the smile back on his face.

Jose post match

Acceptable performance, some of the players don't have the intensity (at all, not just showing), dont have the players at the back with technical ability to build from the back, last season we over performed and this is really our level (implied). Well I'm inspired again . mad

Well I've paraphrased to remove the waffle, but those were the key statements, yes. He said about last season being 2nd and FA cup final being a massive achievement and he would say no more than that in response to being asked what can be done to find the spark - the implication being we should not be expecting so much again (the this is our level bit is perhaps unfair, but given the "acceptable performance"..)

I don’t think we were THAT bad. Pogba played very well (but of course will get no credit for it from anyone), and Bailly brought some bite to our defending.

Sanchez, Lukaku and Matic were all absolutely terrible, but they usually are this season.

Has Sanchez had a single decent 90 mins in a utd shirt?

Not that springs to mind.

He’s trying, but he’s just a very poor player.

We were better than West Ham but still shocking from midfield to up top. No movement into spaces and all just very static again.

I do feel for Lukaku tbh, he's receiving a roasting but he's getting awful service and is having to drop deep to even get the ball. Valencia was shocking last night. He left tonnes of space for their LW and when he got the ball, did fk all with it! Dalot needs to be given more of a chance so we have two attacking full backs on the field.

Lukaku is awful. He rarely wins any headers when it’s punted upfield, he’s totally static, needs 5 chances to score 1, and can’t control a ball to save his life. He’s one of the major problems in a team full of problems.

I also agree with Jose that we can’t build from the back, which is also a big problem and leads to the slow football. Teams can just organise themselves when we have the ball at the back, or press us. We give them the option.

I thought Rashford had as good a game as any.

He tried, but lacks real quality. Most of his dribbling is like pinball. He’s a martial with less quality and more desire. If only Tony had that desire. He’s also starting to look very frustrated.

Why the fk isn't Jose teaching them to build from the back?

Shaw and Rashford the only positives last night. Oh and being able to throw a few Heineken down to numb the pain. Booze ban at champions league games is either over or the club thought the fans needed it!

Rashford did start. And he took the corner that resulted in Lukaku's woeful header?
