Surely they only both apologised to lessen the risk of an FA charge .

None of us were there so none of us know if anything was actually said.

I do admit the Chelsea guy was out of order but Mr Mourinho in my opinion should have shown a bit more restraint. Lots of teams staff & managers run up & down the touch line like demented baboons when the nick a late winner or equaliser.

Just my opinion .

I think the issue was he had done it for the first goal, so when the second goal went in and he did it again Jose lost it. Heat of the moment, and all apologised at the end.

No issue for me, no need for the FA to get involved.

Wasn't the point that the guy actually looked at Maureen (so making it more of a personal jibe) ... ?

Out of order. Celebrate by all means, but why make it personal? Grow up ffs. Maureen legging it down the touchline at OT with Porto was different as he didn't then eyeball Ferguson ...

Do we know if the Chelsea chap was one of Sari’s new staff or was he there when Jose was.

The Chelsea fans that were abusive to Jose we’re really out of order too.

I’m no lip reading expert but I think Mourinho told Sarri as they shook hands after the final whistle that the Chelsea employee had shouted “Puta” at him. The same word Mourinho used as he walked off after the Newcastle game.

Means “son of a bh” I believe.

Come on Jose I say. I'd far rather he was chasing down mouthy assistants than arguing with scholsey in the media. Nothing like a siege mentality to bring back a little of the old spirit.

A Juve team in town with the best player in the world in their ranks....we have a manager everyone hates....star player at odds with him due to fancy haircuts and this new media attention.....

fking hell....treble is on.

I thought it was great to see Jose react like that and showing passion and fight. SAF would have done the same.

I think Jose is OK.

Stick with him, he'll come good.

All a total non event for most Utd fans. Passion is what's needed, and he's fighting for his team and his job.

Well it’s a surprise to me to be defending JM as I don’t like the guy at all

Doesn’t matter if nothing was said the assistant ran at JM fist pumping and being abusive and in his face (a la Keown to RvN), it was bang out of order.

Should he have shown more restraint? Absolutely. Is that hard when you are furious at conceding an equaliser in the 96th minute of a big game and someone does that to you? Absolutely

The FA will have to do or say something, Probably a 2 game touchline ban for both of them.

I do agree jose was goaded into a response but we can't have a repeat of what happened on saturday in Fulham.

It won't make a vast difference either way.
He's not done much wrong and they are already aiming to punish him for the lip reading issue.

I couldn’t care less.

I’ve absolutely no time for people who goad others and then run away. And I’ve no real problem with losing it when some tit is abusive for no reason.

I guess it’s hard to just take pleasure in your own team’s success when they’re a nothing club. Plastic and hollowed out. Hard to take satisfaction from that, I suppose.
Sorry.... 10th place is still a very admirable position.
Got tired of watching your owners bomb civilians to death in Yemen ?

I cant stand mourino but bloody hell it was nothing.

What did make me laugh though was getting all brave only after there were people in the way that he knew would stop him, like kids in a play ground laugh

Why does it bother you enough to come fishing? You should be contacting the FA perhaps if it has.
Managers react and get banned for a few games it's nothing new. He certainly didn't start it or provoke it in any way it's a complete non story.
