I'll happily remove reference to it here, don't buy the coincidence though.

I wouldn't put it past him, but he is a Liverpool fan so I don't know...

Christ, banter or not you never make fun of any of the Liverpool tragedies on PH. Way too sensitive a topic.

As for spurs on the weekend, we pretty much rolled over as expected. Not worth getting upset about it.

Just reading that City's win has cost nearly £7m a point in wages alone, it was always under £5m before.

Time for one of these again wink

Yet another season defining week this week hehe. Visiting a Spurs old boy on Tuesday who is not going to do anyone any favours despite their recent record. A Burnley win on Thursday would see them up in to sixth overtaking Arsenal and pausing Chelskis march towards us. And the chance of going through to a cup final on Saturday against a very shrewed team with an annoying knack for winning important games. Tough one.

Disappointing first half performance but much better in the second. We were due a defeat and City due a win, so no great surprise. No shame in losing to City (the only team to take points off us over 2 games I believe). Mind you, doesn't helped when they are gifted a penalty. 1-1 at half time may have lead to a very different second half, than 2-1.

The Tongan was immense I thought; best player on the pitch. My candidate for player of the season.

Not forgetting that a win on Tue puts us out of Woolwich's reach.

According to Poch's press conference today, Alderweireld has made the squad for tomorrow night. Whether he gets a start or not remains to be seen.

I do admire Poch's stance with Alderwiereld but we don't half look shaky at the back at the moment.

He's made the squad because Spurs have all but secured a top 4 finish and they have a Semi-final on Saturday, so he'll rest a lot of players.
Surprising United get a days less prep for the semi-final but I guess Jose will rest a lot of his players too.

I only saw highlights but it looked like City were getting in between your CB's so easy? just a simple ball seemed to beat them, and the gap between them seemed massive?

We were shocking sat but i wasn't really talking about that game, in resent months we've been excellent, going forward especially but there's no doubt we are slightly more vulnerable at the back than we used to be whether thats because of toby's absence or because we've stopped playing 3 CB's i dont know.

This was kind of my point about Toby and many saying its fine let him go, even worse let him go to a rival. I get if someone is not happy letting him go but as you all say he is your best CB so you will be weaker if you don't sign anyone at his level (which will cost what?)Sanchez from what I can see is not at his level, to make your team weaker and another top 4 team strong seems crazy... flog him to Barca/Madrid not us, Utd or City .......

I agree Sye. Didn't want to say anything at the time but I thought some of the guys in here were crazy to suggest you'd be fine without Toby and that he hasn't been missed because Sanchez has been utterly amazing.

Last year JV and TA were the best CB's in the premier (stats).

Sanchez isn't anywhere near as good IMHO, but if TA really wants to go (and his request for such money suggests he does), then we have to let him go.

Cant see DL spending that a week on a defender - what will the midfielders want!

Sanchez has been brilliant and is only 21 he is going to be absolutely awesome.

We've just missed Toby's experience at crucial times.
