NFL teams don't play many games though. And the NFL have invested £10million in the new White Hart Lane stadium. The whole eastern side of the stadium infrastructure is configured for American Football - dressing rooms, media rooms, coaches rooms etc. Plus all the developments at the training centre with the new accomodation. Both Levy and the head of the NFL have not ruled out the possibility of even playing a double header weekend with football on Saturday and an NFL game on a Sunday. The football pitch itself takes 25 minutes to retract, it seems to me quite feasible to reconfigure everything else and play such a double header in a weekend.
They would not have gone to all that time effort and expense just for occasional games. The initial contract with the NFL is for an average of 2 games a year for ten years and I expect that to grow particularly if the Jacksonville Jaguars owner buys Wembley. Two stadia in London will give the NFL a real presence.
Probably I was a bit strong at the start. However IMO it is a bit tricky when you (Tottenham) are having 2 games a week quite a lot if you have good cup runs, both sides need to train etc. It's possible (alternate home and away), but it's likely one or both teams would suffer. Often in my limited experience sports don't like sharing prime time with each other. You say they would not have gone to the expense for occasional games - but that seems to be what has happened so far in terms of the contract. They would not have gone to all that time effort and expense just for occasional games. Today is St aholes Day.
Lol, nice though it is they have become a bit of an irrelevance lately tbh. I'm more worried about Chelsea breathing down our necks for 4th spot. We HAVE to win against Watford tomorrow. I hope we leave behind our recent show of bad form and Kane gets his bloody shooting boots back on.mickk said:

How could you not want your team in the Champions League?
Obviously I do, but I would have preferred the FA cup.To be honest you guys really need to be winning the FA Cup AND getting top four.
