Yep I'd agree Cook would be a decent signing, 21, English and bags of potential so not sure why the negativity? It would be a lot better than signing no one IMO.
We can try to deny it but let's not kid ourselves here, signing no one this transfer window would be a huge mistake after all the brave talk, if for nothing else than it will massively undermine Poch's statement of intent. He'd have been better off keeping his mouth shut tbh.

Poch makes a bold statement, basically saying exactly what Spurs fans have been thinking for years and hinting that if the right things aren't done, his future at Spurs might be in doubt. Very soon afterwards he signs a new 5 year contract which to many fans sends out a message that Levy has agreed with Poch's statement and this transfer window will be different. king disaster and not pochs fault is bloody levy and his ego!! You can't build expectation up like that then spectacularly fail to deliver, I know so MANY fans who are pissed off about this now including me. I'm running out of excuses to make to all of my other club supporting friends. So either Poch was talking b

I'm not so sure. We have no idea what Levy promised Poch or indeed what Poch is after.
It could be that a £25m Grealish or Lewis Cook-type player (Young, English, Raw Talent) is what Poch wants and in fact asked for - and with the window not yet closed we're jumping the gun in assuming that it won't happen.
And lets not forget Levy has had the project of a lifetime (to very tight deadlines) to deal with meantime.
There are just too many variables for me personally to go aiming any bullets at DL at this point in time.
