That’s rough news - his game has picked up enormously since he left Arsenal, and on current form he was starting to look a first XI pick for Southgate. Feel for the guy.

MCL?
They haven't said. Having had my MCL and PCL replaced (again) on Monday I hope for his sake it's not.

Gutted for him, he's going to miss the world cup. That could have topped off a great season for him.

I love this highlights video made out of Lego:

Ouch, yes I know MCL pain as well. Sorry to hear that. I’ll never forget hearing that sound.
NRS is right - looks like he had an MCL in 2014. It’d be tough if it’s recurring. Poor sod.

Henderson had a very good game, but that doesn’t make him a good player. He isn’t. He would get nowhere near the starting line up for any other top 4 side.

I maintain that people like that are not football fans, just s jumping on a bandwagon as it's an easy excuse to have a dust up.
Then I believe you maintain wrong. Indeed that argument is part of the problem. They are wedded to their club in a way thats been distorted and perverted. If you can’t recognise the actual problem then you have no hope of ever solving it. They are football supporters to the bone, in fact it tips over into an unhealthy obsession with defending your clubs perceived honour.

Not seen anything in the first 35 mins between Bayern v Real that would bother me in a final. Should we get through and turn up with our A game, we could turn over either of these teams.

TBF ORD he has had a number of games like that this year...you probably just not have watched them

He is massively underrated in regards to at he does for our team - for example as far great as a talented of a player Pogba is we would be worse with him in our team instead of Hendo - soon as he did not press and cover our whole way of playing would break down

For us to improve on Hendo they need his work rate, ability to close, tackle, lay the ball off quick but be better on the ball.......
I understand why players like Pogba will get praise and hendo none, but its no coincidence there is managers who are paid in the millions to make these decisions are playing him as football is not all about the most skilful players showboating.

I agree Sye, I think Hendo is widely underrated and at times gets unfair stick from supporters. To understand what he brings to the team, you need to watch him and understand the end results of movements he often starts, not to mention his tracking back into defence as needed. He is just one of our players that has grown substantially since Klopp joined

I'm not his biggest fan, but is it not covering one of the points that you have been complaining about United? That often there isn't much effort or pressing until you lot go a goal or two behind? Would a Henderson type player not help the team get motivated and try more during the whole game?

The funny thing is that Carrick was and Hendo is hugely important to their respective teams and as such lauded by many of their own fans, though still under-rated. Yet each player is considered average at best by many of the opposition fans.

We could hurt either

Difference is that Carrick is very technically gifted. Hendo just runs a lot. Nothing wrong with that, and it’s valuable to a side, but it doesn’t make him a good player. Pretty much any midfielder could do that role if they had the discipline and fitness.
(Pogba couldn’t - he’s defensively inept.)

Definitely, it looked like Bayern ran out of steam after about 60 minutes, and Madrid, as deadly as they are, seemed so casual that they could easily be caught on the counter.

Some very uncomfortable facts for those who travel to Rome next week. Fans stabbed in Rome during the years:
1996 Four Ajax fans
2007 Five Man U fans
2009 One Man U fan
2012 Two Spurs fans
2013 Three Gladbach fans
2015 Four Feyenoord fans
2016 Galatasaray Fan
Stay safe Redmen.

And yet they're still allowed to participate in European competitions and their fans are allowed to travel with them. Sheesh.

Big shame about Ox.

Given the dire state of our squad, surely wholesale changes on Saturday are in order?

Back 4 all need a rest, as do the front 3.

We're gonna struggle to rest the midfield frown I know top 4 is important, but I couldn't care less about playing stoke right now, keeping the team fit for Wednesday, and potentially the final, has got to be the priority.

You’ve missed out the Leeds fans from a while back too.
