Given the dire state of our squad, surely wholesale changes on Saturday are in order?

Back 4 all need a rest, as do the front 3.

We're gonna struggle to rest the midfield frown I know top 4 is important, but I couldn't care less about playing stoke right now, keeping the team fit for Wednesday, and potentially the final, has got to be the priority.
We pretty much have to go back 3 in the league. But we're short of centre backs.

Squad depth might kill our season yet.

Some very uncomfortable facts for those who travel to Rome next week. Fans stabbed in Rome during the years:
1996 Four Ajax fans
2007 Five Man U fans
2009 One Man U fan
2012 Two Spurs fans
2013 Three Gladbach fans
2015 Four Feyenoord fans
2016 Galatasaray Fan
Stay safe Redmen.
You’ve missed out the Leeds fans from a while back too.
Whilst not trying to deflect away from the Roma stabbers, the Leeds lads got done in Turkey. I hadn't realised how many stabbings there had been involving Roma, the numbers are shocking.

Don't know where to look to see who is fit but it is a worry for sure. By my reckoning we need 5 points from our last three games, assuming Chelsea win their last four. I don't think we can afford to chuck games away.

I said a few days ago im nervous about 4th as i dont think its locked in, especially given one of our 3 is against Chelsea. If we lose to them then things get a bit twitchy but at least our remaining games are easier than theirs.

If it were my side, I would want them to rest anyone who is even remotely fatigued. You’ll lose if you do that, probably, but you’ve a big cushion over Chelsea.

3 more points needed to guarantee 4th.
So even if lose against chelsea we just need a win at home to stoke or west brom.
Our much better goal difference helps.

It's certainly interesting, I think if Harry Wilson wasn't out on loan he'd be getting game time in the league at the moment.

We should be able to do stuff with the formation to help in midfield by moving players around, the players should be good enough. Eg Van Dijk or perhaps Klaven could play a defensive midfield role with two of Milner, Henderson and Wijnaldum ahead of them to allow for some rest in midfield. Is Lallana OK for some game time? We could play Firmino in midfield with two behind as well.

I think the biggest risk in the league games is that Klopp is likely to do what he did against Everton where he set up the team to practice the tactics for the City game rather than getting the approach right for that game. Both of the approaches above would involve players playing differently to how they'll need to play the next match.

I'm sure we'll be fine whatever.

Midfield situation is bad. Need to bring some talent in from the academies.

Spotted this on The Echo this morning, and thought it rang true... remember some comments on Mo's conversion rate 1st few months of the season... pretty dramatic improvement biggrin

40% shot conversion rate is outrageous.

Liverpool deserved that. If the officials had done their jobs properly it could have been a lot closer, despite Roma being shambolic at times.

1st goal, OK that was a questionable foul.
2nd goal, a definite foul on Kolorov on the edge of the Liverpool box, Would Liverpool have scored that 2nd if the foul to Roma was given? Unlikely.
3rd goal, Salah clearly offside.

When you don't play well in CL football you need the officials to be on the top of their game.
Did you just copy and paste this from your post about the City game, as it's almost identical...

It's a pity you didn't get more decisions your way this season. You could really have done with it considering how badly Chelsea have done. Who knows - you might be able to dream of big Europa cup nights next season though...
Hey, we could all of supported Liverpool when we were growing up because they were the best team. Some of us didn't take the glory hunting route though. You must be fuuuming that you haven't won the league in over 28 years, since the back pass rule was introduced.

We actually need 4 points which doesnt seem much but when we have to play Chelsea that could leave us needing 4 from 6 possible remaining points if Chelsea win all their games.

That depends on goal difference.
