You can see why they have done badly this season, but so far we're just not quite clicking 100% together due to new players/ missing our normal midfield press. Still have had a few chances, but not quite there yet.

Is there an unwritten rule that all commentators must refer to Salah as “Mo Salah” at all times, they’re quite happy to call everyone else by their surname (amd occasionally their full name), but never him it’s always his full name. Also the pseudo Scouse twang applied to the way the say it.

Ings and Solanke on at an hour for me. Can't have a knackered Firmino and Salah in Rome.

Didn't look offside in first viewing. Must have been close.

Offside

Still not 100% convinced. Looks to be inline with his back leg. Can't blame the linesman though - especially in real time.

Didn’t think you would be. How about this one, that was ruled out for offside?

Just seen the replay. Definitely offside.

This is the thing that annoys me, if it's really close or they aren't sure, I thought the ref was supposed to give the attacker the benefit of the doubt but you hardly ever see that happen. There is no way the lino would have been 100% sure on that call so why flag it? Far too keen to flag for offside sometimes IMO.

The reds are dull today, our squad is showing its weakness, sad to say but Klavan, Moreno and Gomez look like they just don't belong.

Saying that, Trent's been getting into good positions in his new role and Ings finished well even though he was caught offside.

I'd like to see a big 20 minutes from Mo and Bobby (hopefully we'll take a chance or two), then take them off regardless of the score.

In real-time for these kind of tight offsides I don't think anyone can blame the ref or linesman for putting up their flag OR not! Multiple replays etc will always show whether it was correct but no one should blame the officials. It is for the player to ensure they are reading line correctly.

If a player is clearly half a yard or more onside or offside, well...
