Ronaldo's 17 is the stand out. Not sure that will ever be beaten?
He and Benzema appear to have been caught in the middle of an impromptu rendition of the birdie dance. Bale obviously wasn't feeling it.
You think the 17 is a stand out but this has been posted on Reddit today:He and Benzema appear to have been caught in the middle of an impromptu rendition of the birdie dance. Bale obviously wasn't feeling it.
Ronaldo is Mr Champions League. Behind that 17 he's also scored 16 and 15 goals in previous seasons.

We spend our money on players we need. Spuds spend it on a stadium so they can have a few nicer seats to sit on.
I have no problems with Liverpool spending fortunes on footballers . Just a shame that it looks increasingly like you will only have one English player in your first choice starting XI .
Woodburn will be in the squad if he doesn't go out on loan.
Spurs really don't have that many more English players in contention for starting XI places than us.

Oh God, you're not going to spend this season with your tongue firmly up our backsides like you were on the City thread last season are you?!!
Well seeing as you are such a nice friendly, welcoming bunch on here ... Black can man said:

On top of the points other posters have pointed out, Lallana and Henderson will be rotated in midfield, Trent or Clyne at RB, Gomez will be used in cup games. The Ox would also be in our first choice starting XI depending on the opposition if it weren't for his injury.
Woodburn will be in the squad if he doesn't go out on loan.

Yes i'm sure all the players will get game time but i still think my point stands that if you pick your strongest 11 then only Trent / Clyne would start.Woodburn will be in the squad if he doesn't go out on loan.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing all i said was that it's very un-Liverpool like .Then Pam Ferris got all upset ... again.
How on earth am i cherry picking?
Im showing you what we have spent and had in over the last 4 years
I could go back longer if you want? Wont make any diff we have net spent 20m or less for 8 or 9 years bar this year
Having spent less than we should have the last few years has meant we have money to spend bigger this year... Not that difficult to understand really
We live well within our means, thank you for your concern though

The fact you went away and educated yourself is nice, try more of it. Then even taking the time to edit an earlier post to get things lined up - lovely. As long as it's burning up your Sunday.

Pointing out the flaws in your arguments isn't upsetting. You're whining Liverpool aren't fielding an English player lamenting the good old days. And yet it was happening 30+ years ago so it's nothing new.

I will just leave this here:

In terms of financial prudence, Liverpool (FSG) spent just £110m to expand Anfield vs £1bn that Spurs are paying. If the worry from Spurs fans is about how much we are spending on transfers, I would simply suggest they look into just how they intend on paying back that HUGE loan whilst keeping and attracting/paying top talent at their club for say conservatively the next 10 years.
I genuinely worry for Spurs but I am sure Levy has it all under control. It's never a Leeds-style house of cards just waiting...
