I thought Hodgson was a good appointment and a safe pair of hands in the circumstances.

Karius with another weak punch away.

You can't make it up. Does anyone coach him?

Finishes 2-1 to Liverpool. Salah with a goal less than a minute after he was introduced and Mane with an injury time penalty.

Chicago (and UK) based Liverpool fan with my first post in here. The US tour seems a good time to break the ice.

The second half was awesome. Salah scored with his first touch of the ball, I think. Mane should've had a hat-trick in the last ten minutes alone! Shame we didn't get to see Keita.

LFC are huge in the states and so is Salah. Not seen reactions like this since David Beckham.

Looking forward to the new season and posting some more.

Didnt see the game last night but Mo looks so sharp on this clip

CAMACHO looks a threat, what was he like for anyone that watched the 90? Also reading curtis jones was very good again?

Few clips on Sadio too

Saw some highlights earlier - commentary backs up what BadBull said - Salah coming on changed the atmos and the crowd were well into him. FSG will be rubbing their hands together! hehe

Wonder what city are gonna do with Joe Hart.

Would he be happy being number two with us if we got rid of Migs and Karius?

Plenty of 'England old boys' at the club, that could influence his decision if we went for him. I know a lot of people don't rate him but I'd have him as number two.

He has come out and said he wont be number 2 anywhere and is open to any league to be number 1

Joe Hart on paper would be great back-up option. Yes he is not the same keeper he was a few years ago but his experience would be very useful and should anything happen to Alisson, he would be reasonably trusted replacement.

I can't see it happening. Hart will want 1st team football. Plus based on m3sye's espn link he posted, Klopp clearly favours Karius calling him a "really good keeper" (yes, of course he will publicly say but he also made him No. 1 when Mings didn't do much wrong halfway through the season).

That's a shame. He'd be a good backup keeper.

For anyone who is fed up of links on alison I apologise but im hoping there is some fans in here intetested in our new players... wavey
Interesting. So he really only has 2 seasons of solid top level keeping under his belt. really looking forward to seeing what he brings to the team, it's been so many years we've needed a top notch keeper. Just hope his tendency of playing sweeper doesn't occasionally bite us in the arse as that can be quite embarrassing when it goes wrong.

His record in the Champions league was very good over the entire competition and as such I refuse to believe he is as bad as some "fans" are saying.
I'd be more curious seeing what the shots on target to goals ration are. Personally, I believe the defence had large part in his success.

What's the strongest starting midfield 3?

Hendo Fabinho Keita

Can Shaqiri play there is he just a sub for Mane/Sala? Still a gutted about Ox though, huge loss.

For those old enough to remember, surely you've already had the experience of the King of keeper\sweepers in Bruce Grobbelaar. I remember I'd often have my heart in my mouth while watching him and I'm not even a Liverpool supporter, Anyone else should be a walk in the park in comparison. biggrin
