Thanks. Although, I feel like they didn't show enough angles of the first goal hehe

TBH probably more relieved and thankful. No one likes doing these press conferences, being asked the same questions again and again. Jurgen saved the day!

I see he's taken a little swipe at us regarding transfers now. Basically saying we have to win the league.

Jose said:
You have to say the team, with the investments you are making last season, that you made in January, that you make now, because that will probably be the record for the Premier League this season, I can’t see anyone else getting close to spending what they have.

A team that was a finalist in the Champions League, you have to say you are a big candidate, you have to win

Given the sums he's spent, I suppose he is talking from a position of experience...

He can see the inevitable - leaving United without the title. It's all about him.

Jose is not the special one of 14 years ago. Given his apparent ego (at least in public) that must gall him somewhat.

Tbh he's right. If you don't win something this year with the amount you've spent, you'll have underachieved.

I agree that we do need to win something. But no one has a God given right to the title. Especially with the form and ease City won it with last season.

Exactly

And if we dont say finish 2nd get to a final etc and generally play well but don't quite get over the final hurdle then what? Sack klopp laugh

We all want to win something but to win also requires a bit of luck
We have the right manager in charge of liverpool and lets hope we can win a good trophy soon

To be fair he's right. You've spent a quarter of a billion quid. You simply have to win something anything else is failure.

I think you will though to be fair.

The spend needs to be seen in the context of a key departure we really didn't want.

I'd see failure as not being involved in the league or champions league in the middle of April.

Again with a caveat that if City do what they did last year I can't see what can be done.

I think he is actually taking a dig at the media not liverpool.Every article and former pro seemed to opine last season that given the money spent united should have won the league, the champs league and the inter galactic cup.His comments about liverpool to me imply ''well lets see if you criticize liverpool as much as you did me if they don't win everything.

I think we will get roasted this year if we don't win something.

Maybe if we come within a point of the league and CL final - anything else will see the press and other fans pointing the finger.
