It's a ballsy move to be fair, you've gone all out which should be applauded although some are already declaring Liverpool as champions which isn't so clever as nothing is 100% guaranteed. I also agree that fingers will be being pointed and rightly so if you don't do well.
Personally I still think City are the team to beat and you do seem to have developed a knack of somehow finishing below the Spuds, even when the odds say you shouldn't so who knows.

I really haven't seen anyone say we will be champions.Personally I still think City are the team to beat and you do seem to have developed a knack of somehow finishing below the Spuds, even when the odds say you shouldn't so who knows.

Oh come on, no one would be silly enough to come out and directly say it on here as they know they would get roasted, at least not this year at any rate. Beyond a few hilarious things on twitter.
Even then there have been many posts that have all but said it or at least seriously implied it. I've also definitely had many scouser mates off the forum say it too.
It's the same every year, there is even a long running joke about it FFS. How does it go? This year......;)

So....nobody here is saying it....but we're going to get roasted for saying it anyway. Even though nobody here is saying it. Excellent, just so we're straight on that one. there was someone on here - he was a Spud. I even quoted it for posterity but can't be arsed to find it nowEven then there have been many posts that have all but said it or at least seriously implied it. I've also definitely had many scouser mates off the forum say it too.

can we win something? of course
will we? I cannot think of a single cup we would be favourite for so if it was my mortgage on the line, no
I'd still put City at no 1
Liverpool at number 2 but should be making City seriously look over their shoulder ready to pounce on any small slips or they've spent a lot of money for nothing.
Spurs, Chelsea and Utd all about evens after that.
Funny how no one even mentions Arsenal anymore.

Again with a caveat that if City do what they did last year I can't see what can be done.
a) City were sh!te the season before; bought loads of players in and Pep managed to get them to play as a team almost instantly (which was amazing!) b) City are never going to win 32 / 38 league games ever again. That was a one-off, unbelievable run.
If Klopp can get the new players to gel and adapt to his system/methods quickly, if has done enough to tighten up at the back, Lovren doesn't do a Lovren (unlikely).... we'll should be hell of a lot closer this season.
There is probably 2 big questions: does Salah (and the other 2) up front have a similar season to last year? As much as City had an exceptional year last year then so did Salah. He'll find it difficult to score as many goals I'd guess. If he does score as many goals it's likely to be very difficult to keep him the year after as the big clubs will go crazy to try and get him.
The back. How does the defenders/ keeper work together? If anything we look to be even more attacking this year. I have a suspicion we might have a similar problem in terms of winning the league - we can't break down enough teams when they sit back with 11 men behind the ball and only go forward to try and score. If we're better at the back (like the second half of the season) it's probably ok. If we do our thing of having 1 shot on target against us and letting it in then we'll probably be in a similar place to last year.
I'm hopeful, but aware of the issues that mean anyone saying we should be winning the title are stupid.
