14 correct results and not a correct score to be seen.

That's frustrating.
It's probably not going to improve your mood much but in nine of those games, you were just one goal out from the correct score. Guess you can say the same about everyone's results if you checked them out, but you're not far away. And you have got the most correct results right.

And you're above BCM.

And Gadgetmac.

So all is not lost Dan.

Indeed, ten people went for 1-1 so ten players score maximum points including 'Thon virgins Dan1981, PHuzzy and Pommy who all predicted bang on for the first time...

Other people that got 1-1 were Glover Mart, Ascayman, E31 Shrew, The Jiffle King, 48k, Oxford Drinker and Lotus Notes. The highest scoring game of the 'Thon, that was. With Jacob Lawson missing out, only one point separates the top three now.

Next up is Pepe Le Pew v Paddington Bear.

A narrow win for the French then, meaning only Glover Mart and Seventy get the full four points. Everyone else apart from Pommy gets a single point, Pommy thought Peru would equalise and I must admit, I'd have willingly sacrificed my haul for a Peru goal as I've enjoyed watching them.

New leader then, me by two points from Jacob Lawson with E31 Shrew third. Just three more players needing to break their duck now, we'll see if they can do it in the Argentina v Croatia game tonight.

Toodle pip.

Who saw that scoreline coming, eh? Well, Ascayman almost did but he gave the Argies a little too much credit in thinking they'd score. Dear oh dear, poor Diego.....

Anyway, on to @Thon business. Ascayman and Lotus Notes were the only two to gain a point from the final match today, meaning that the table now looks like this...

As a Liverpool fan can I just say I am entirely comfortable and familiar feeling happy that I’m only 11 points from the top yet still nearer the bottom laugh

Next year will be my year...

High scoring start to the day then, with everybody picking up points after Brazil beat Costa Rica 2-0 with two stoppage time goals.

E31 Shrew goes top by virtue of alphabetical order ahead of Glover Mart after grabbing his second maximum in four games. Ascayman, Brabus Mog, 48k and Lotus Notes also scored maximums as did Mickk for the first time. Well done, Mick, took ya long enough...... tongue out
