Oh do fk off yourself. He’s England’s all time leading goal scorer. Have some respect. He played for that shower of st when he wasn’t fit and never shirked the call. Gave fking everything for that shirt.
^ Too much blind loyalty for Manchester United going on here.He was in a good Manchester United team, he wasn't fit to lace Ronaldo's boots if we're honest and I can't believe Manchester United kept him as long as they did.

He's United's all time leading goalscorer too. Not bad for a Number 10.
But yeah, you're right. He's st.

Nothing to do with United nor Ronaldo. He was pivotal in the success of the United team in that period though.

Got to (begrudgingly) agree with anniesdad here. He's United's all time leading goalscorer too. Not bad for a Number 10.

As Rooney played for Everton, then utd, he was never gonna be at the top of my Xmas card list. But I can't believe what I've been hearing over the past week or so. Even utd fans have been saying that he's underachieved in his career.
I can't get my head around it, he has been a phenomenal player, and as a Liverpool fan he's been a pain in my arse since the first day I saw him play.
Yes he's had his issues, but if there was ever one blue that I wish played for us, it's him.
I don't think anyone apart from one poster has questioned his club level achievements. I think he was a very good player for his various clubs but as is depressingly the case with a lot of English players, this never really translated to the same level of performance for his country.

There are lots of different reasons for England's lack of success over the years. As a collective they never had what it takes to beat better, stronger and more organised opponents in the latter stages of tournaments. Harry Kane was at fault for this years world cup exit, because he only scored in the group games.
Can you see how it sounds? ^^

Lol Harry Kane is definitely another player that I'd put in the great for club, poor for country category so not really a great example for you. I'm not so blinded by my Spurs bias that I can't admit he hasn't been half as good for England as he has been for his club.Harry Kane was at fault for this years world cup exit, because he only scored in the group games.

Criticism of Rooney is hilarious - imagine being a Scot and having Lee Griffiths calibre strikers to rely on!
