Lol Harry Kane is definitely another player that I'd put in the great for club, poor for country category so not really a great example for you. I'm not so blinded by my Spurs bias that I can't admit he hasn't been half as good for England as he has been for his club.

Not sure what you expect. He’s bang on course to overtake Rooney.

Yes Kane won the golden boot at the WC this year but we all know how it was done and it wasn't exactly the best way to win it if we are honest. His International performances so far have been pretty average for me but even a poorly performing Kane will score some goals.

I know you Utd fans are quite used to mediocrity lately, you rate Pogba as a good player FFS but I expect a bit more from our top players quite frankly.

For England I'd probably agree but I don't think you can really argue with his club performance, especially over the last few years, baring his recent dip he has been one of the best strikers in the PL. Even this year with a less than stellar start, he is still just two off the top. Not sure how anyone could form the opinion that for his club at least, he hasn't delivered the goods.

Pogba, Giroud, Lloris.....precisely why none of us in here are fit to judge players. These are world cup winners.

Pogba is probably the inverse of other players we have been talking about. He played about 10 times better for his country then he ever has for Utd under Maureen.

Djimi traore, josemi, antonio nunez are all champions league winners - dont really get your point

Its a team game not an individual game, poorer individuals can be carried by others

Criticism of Rooney is hilarious - imagine being a Scot and having Lee Griffiths calibre strikers to rely on!
Spurs fans for you wink
They're an odd bunch, the hassle they gave to Sissoko and look at him this season...
You support West Ham, have you read any of the posts on those pages lately?

Odd is one word for it. wink

The point is you've got to be in it, to win it. All these players were deemed good enough by their respective managers to be good enough to play in these trophy winning sides.

We can all have an opinion, of course an opinion is like an ahole....fact is probably nobody on here is fit to lace any of their boots.

That's the point.

so you are saying you are never going to have an opinion on if a footballer is now good enough as they are a professional and you are not
