Most of knew he’d come good , can’t be easy for any player when you’re playing for the worlds most prestigious football club.

Not at all old boy

Tottenham Hotspur’s have achieved so many Firsts in the history of British football .

We are the volley , the flick , the thirty yard free kick

To dare is to do

I went last night was a decent turnout 68k. Mostly school children who got free tickets from school. Great idea! I was sat between a group of special needs kids and primary school kids which made the atmosphere errrh.

There was lots of criticism on Twitter for the empty seats... Should give them to kids etc etc. Doh. Those common sensers should buy a ticket or stop whinging!

Kids were more interested in making paper aeroplanes than watching the 2nd half.

There was alot of love for Wayne. That was good.

First 35 mins we looked decent. Lacking finishing though. Wazza didn't get the fairytale ending he wanted. Tried hard for a goal and atleast 2 chances were wasted trying to pick him out.

What I found odd was my complete lack of anxiety. Sometimes I cant bear to watch Everton or England tournament games for the wanting to win, but this was very meh.

To be fair his positional awareness and timing of runs has been fantastic.

I agree. It always has been. No end product is the problem.

Looking like a very predictable outcome if we don’t make the most of our chances. Delph been the surprising standout for me, Barkley ain’t no Modric.

I feared the worst when we went one 1-0 down, but you can't fault the character to keep going and pull that result out.

Good stuff.

Champions of UEFA Nations League Group A4
You'll never sing that

(as seen on Twitter!)

Great result that somehow came out of nowhere, if that makes sense. Southgate seems to have the Midas touch right now, which is a good touch to have really. I'd have still preferred him to swap Sancho for Sterling rather than Rashford and I was also a little disappointed that Delph went off as he was having a decent game.

All in all though, shouldn't grumble, so will stop there. Enjoying watching England again and wondering where we would have been had Roy still been in charge.

... or fat Sam. Double shudder.

Exciting times but I still don’t expect many of this team to be in the team Southgate will see as his best which will be in 5 or 6 years time. The next batch are going to be the ones to really get excited about...

Ha, missed out the best bit.

The world's best defender Dejan Lovren being sat on his arse by Sancho having just been booked by the ref for a decision that the ref had actually given his way.

rofl

Du-du-du-du-du. I'm Lovren it!
