Reading that a lot of the team took knocks in the last game but might be hiding any injuries to make sure they play.
I suppose Sterling doesn't have any issues and will start tomorrow

Given that the first sign of a hidden injury might be a noticeable drop off in performance, one can only assume Sterling's already had a knock!

He's playing way too deep - it's not his natural position, he's compromised because of a certain Sterling always being played.
Play Alli just off Kane and you'll see three things happen.
1. He'll be the perfect creative foil for Kane as he is at Spurs
2. He'll be pulling defenders all over the place to make space for others
3. He'll be thrusting into the box with superb runs and he'll do what Sterling can only dream of - finish.
Keep him where he is and he's just a bit part midfielder used to bounce the odd ball off.
Sterling off, Alli forward, RLC to provide the linking play behind.
Although this is our 3rd QF since beating Cameroon in 1990, we went into the other 2 against Brazil and Portugal with no real hope of winning. Today is the first time since Cameroon we find ourselves in a QF against a worse team. That doesn't mean we'll win, but it does mean we should win.
I find it difficult, after Iceland, to raise my hopes, but I actually believe we will get thru today. If so, then it's fingers crossed Russia beat Croatia. Then it'll be a semi against a worse team than us.

Then if France beat Belgium in the other semi-final but on the morning of the final the entire French squad all get food poisoning and they have to field the player's wives, we'd be in a final against a worse team.
