Seems so. And it's not as if Liverpool don't have history in this regard, after Suarez and the t shirt fiasco.
I agree.
The situations are very similar.

I thought the message was that hurling abuse in the face of a player wasn't acceptable. The 4 Chelsea guys were suspended whilst possible racism was investigated. Not sure if it now has been established. I haven't heard either way.

Abuse was directed at Fellani from a yard away by a fan. Are we now saying it's OK? How will we know if it's racist or not unless someone looks into the matter?
It's all just so unfair.

It’s about racism. But let’s deflect.

Are you sure Fellani wasn't racially abused?

Well surely with tv footage it can be investigated? Why not? Apparently there was another incident with Ashley Young being abused as he ventured close to the crowd.

How long does it take for this investigation on Mr Wing?

Has there been any news on Mr wing?

Meanwhile, another negative story on Wayne Rooney in today's papers. I wish these journalists wouldn't fuel racism.

That was for someone chanting something homophobic at Brighton. Forest fans now under investigation for chanting rent boys on Saturday & 2 spurs fans set to be banned for racial abuse. Idiots filmed themselves!

"Chelsea rent boys" has been chanted at us by every set of opposition fans, home and away, for 20 years. I cannot get overly excited by it. I'm all against ruling out any racist abuse and the kind of specific and targeted homophobic abuse Sol Campbell and Graham LeSaux used to receive.

But it's going to be a hard job shutting down chants like "Chelsea rent boys".

Where did the rent boys chants come from ?

The Sol Campbell abuse he gets from Spurs fans I reckon is as nasty as it gets & it’s never going to stop ?

Yep. It's sung as most Chelsea games by opposition fans.

No. Mr Wings case is still pending further investigation. The City game was a month ago now. Just wondering what's taking so long to find out if he was guilty...

It came from when we started using foreign "mercenaries" ( as opposition fans would say ) . You know, players like Zola, Gullitt, Di Matteo and Vialli who only ever came to the club for the money ( rolleyes ) .The chant was aimed at them, not the club or the fans. It's just stuck since then.

I was at the game on Saturday and it was louder than usual but, as has been said before, it is sung at most games and does not bother me because it's just humour when you know the origin of it.
