I'm sure all you diehards can go a fortnight without watching your boys in action ... jeez.
You sometimes have to go a whole 6-8 weeks with no action some summers, how do you all cope?
International breaks are needed ... gives a bit of a break, a breather from the monotony of the same kind of games every week. Change of scenery, time for a breather to let the pressure off (from a club perspective).
They're needed (I didn't watch either England game though).
When you had have had a world cup they are are not needed as much as they have been this year - its been a pisstake following a worldcupYou sometimes have to go a whole 6-8 weeks with no action some summers, how do you all cope?

I promise, I will never laugh at Sanchez's pay packet again!

Markovic signed a contract described as "long term" when he was first bought by the Reds and now has eight months remaining on his reported £50,000-a-week deal.
Since he last featured for the Reds, Liverpool have roughly paid Markovic an eye-watering £9.25million.
Across the course of his contract, the wideman has earned over £11m, with his 34 appearances working out at around £332,000 a game.

Not sure whose return will be better at this rate tbh.

Yeah, it probably has, with this new competition. But it's a sad state of affairs if you can't go a fortnight without your fix ... how you all get from Saturday to Saturday without a midweek game is beyond me.
its quite simple -international football does not really do that much for me - much rather watch my team , maybe if they went around the country they would get a bit more interest for me, but I cannot go to a game without spending £200+ so i have no connection to it - I much prefer going to watch my team than sitting watching every england game on tv so I have much more connection with Liverpool.

Undoubtedly so but sometimes hard to blame the player. I don't like it if players sit on a bench and refuse a move to make 50k/week rather than play at a lesser team for 35k and actually play. That said there is little loyalty from clubs so hard to expect players to do the honourable thing, up to teams to not overpay wages and do their due diligence I guess

He seems to be very loyal but it’s just not appealing when it’s appears to be at a high financial cost.

It makes even scarier reading if you factor in his transfer fee of £20m too - over 34 games that is an ADDITIONAL £600k per game - so over £900k total PER GAME once his salary is taken into account as previously mentioned! One million pounds to have the luxury to play him! Not sure whose return will be better at this rate tbh.
This summer should see a lot of the useless fat in our squad melt away naturally.
