Arrgghhh. Fracture will surely be more than 6 weeks.

Easily the best CB in the Premier League right now. No debate - but arguably the best player in the Premier League recently?
Certainly on first bit most would say yes

Second bit is a bit OTT, way more subjective of course but too much hyperbole for me. We should leave such silliness to the Spurs "Kane is best striker in the world" thread IMHO
Lloris was the basically the best keeper in the league - posted after their last match. But it's only Liverpool fans being silly and overrating their own players, as it's actually true when Spuds do it.

No spurs fan thinks that Lloris is either the best in the league or the world, if that was said at all it was to take the piss out of you lot.

He's a very good keeper yes and suits our game perfectly a relative bargain for what we paid for him but youve made the rest up.

No I've not. Have a look at the posts. It's the same as us calling for Klopp to be sacked a few seasons back.

It was the league, I had edited my post while you were replying).

I'm assuming it's a crack rather than a break. Time for Lovren to step up

Broken leg for Gomez, recovery within 6 weeks looks optimistic.

The tackle itself looked innocuous enough, unlucky though.

Have you got any stats to back that claim up ?
Which bit ?
If you mean the 8points off memory without even checking other games

Brigton home 1-0 kept us in it with save right at the death 2point
Everton 1-0 a number of top class saves to keep them to 0 - 2point
Burnley 3-1 save above at 2-1 - 2 points
Chelsea away 1-1 a couiple of top saves at 1-0 - 2points

So thats 8 without even looking, probably more tbh

He was absolutely superb last night.

From the way it all played out, I'm guessing fibula. NHS got me running around again in 8 weeks, so with expensive treatment six might well be possible.

Makes for very poor reading. Almost every time I come in here I'm thinking "FFS not again..." but its easy enough to skip.

Shame about Gomez, we will really miss him. Hugely improved this season to become the 1st choice to partner VVD. I hope Lovren and Matip both step up.

Matip worries me more than lovren, for such a big guy he is so soft, needs a bit of Virgil attitude in him

Alisson's distribution (a main reason he was bought) has stood out for me.

I think VvD is brilliant. I would also be more than happy to see Alderweireld line up next to him (when that Soton squad was stripped we appear to have bought the wrong one - Lovren is decent but Toby is on a different level).

I also think Fernandinho may be one of the most under-the-radar players in the league. He is quality, week in, week out. That's the level Fabinho should be looking at. He still strolls about too much for me; makes me wonder about his engine.

I still think Klopp will go shopping in January. Surely even he can't bear to watch Moreno play anymore.

Gutted about Gomez - massive loss heading into busy season - I'm not convinced we have cover good enough.

Gomez is my personal player of the season for Liverpool so far. Most will go with VvD, perhaps rightly so but given Gomez's age and just how well he has stepped up and has the look of a veteran - it is nothing short of amazing. Will be missed a lot.

Agreed he has been fantastic this year, he is missed badly whenever he doesn't play... feel much more confident when he is next to Virigl than any other CB we have.
