No need to be blown away. It's just common sense.

He's got us there boys laugh 'fool' proof logic.

I'd take 3 Europa League cups for one CL final loss, they just don't compare.

But good to know you've reset your sights lower these days, we know how that feels.

I'm absolutely torn. Would love Poch to go to United given quite a lot of the drivel being posted by the Spurs about why he would stay. If we did the same we'd quite rightly be laughed at. It'd be hilarious. Yet he's too good a manager to want United to actually get him.

I also suspect many are underestimating the United squad - Jose had basically the same team as the one that won the league the season after in a relegation fight. With a decent manager and a system I suspect many of these players will be far better than they perform now. Good to have played them just before the switch and the 10 game new manager boost that often happens.

It would be devastating for Spurs if Poch left at this point. They need stability and a manager that can get the most out of their players given the unexpected amount of debt they have had to take on due to a poorly managed stadium renovation combined with the failure to attract naming rights or a global brewer.

If Poch joins Man Utd then he'll likely take Spurs best player with him for £50m which could trigger a spiral for Spurs similar to Leeds Utd given the eye watering debts and lack of commercial revenue.

Poch could do wonders at Utd

he needs to stay at Spurs doing well but not quite winning anything due to lack of funds, whilst Utd car crash from manager pylon to manager pylon

Full on delusion in the Spurs thread.
The first time I’ve been in there and they actually think they are up there with Man Utd because they have a new stadium being built and new training facilities hehe

Pochettino hasn’t even denied the links. I think he will end up there next season.

Atleast it takes away the focus on us and the media trying to hype us up for the league. We don’t need that. Just bring each games as it comes and try and get the 3 points every time.

In all honesty if I was Poch I'd have a hard time choosing between Utd and Spurs.

Obviously Utd are the bigger club, bigger budgets. But crap board and management structure.

Spurs are a much better project and with the stadium and training facilities it's exciting times for them. If Levy would spend some money I reckon Poch could create quite a legacy for himself.

That's the issue. Levy doesn't seem to want to spend money, and it will likely mean Poch is an "almost" person outside the club. Loved by the fans, but likely win nothing/very little. Maybe it will finally click, but there's no way to consistently win stuff without using lots of money, and they don't do that - thankfully!

I'm not 100% convinced the United board is super bad. They gave Jose was it £200m or more in first window? He then bought some very expensive older players, most of whom didn't play in the team a season or two after. He also pissed off quite a few players. If it was a first time that has happened then get rid of the players. However since he's done it so much at other clubs I'd be tempted to get rid of the manager, then if players still play up then get rid of them. The one stupid thing the board did was renew the contract so far.

The one slight risk with Poch is how does he do with massive superstars - or would he build a team without them instead - a bit like Klopp is doing with us? Kane is obviously world class, but seems very much grounded. Some others in United's team are much less so.

There is also the issue that if Levy sanctions the sale of one or more of their key players. Any replacement(s) would have to come in presumably at less than half the fee obtained and it may not work out. Could Poch still achieve the same level of success? Shiny stadium is one thing, shiny team is another.

Poch would be mad to even consider United. He’s doing really well at Spurs, not under a lot of pressure and not really expected to win anything, if he does it would obviously be a huge bonus for him and the club, but as things stand he has them in the last 16 in the CL, off to their best ever start in the PL and is still in with a shout of winning the league cup. Spurs play great football under him, as a neutral you’d pay to watch them.
Everything changes if he moves to Old Trafford, he’d be under pressure to deliver right away and would always have Whiskey Nose glaring down at him from the stands every time the opposition score. United, like the England job is a poisoned chalice. That’s before you even deal with the likes of Pogba and the others stealing a living at United. It’s like watching Liverpool post 1990. They have a long way to fall yet.

But do you want to be the person that did a decent job but never got a trophy/many trophies? Or would you believe that you could do more than Jose with this team and win stuff? I'm also not too sure where United are going to continue to fall - even during the really dark years we weren't do much worse than where United are now.
