The Son incident. Stone wall pen. VAR will sort those out next season, hopefully.
Gives the spuds (and mancs) something to cling on to them.

Not quite as good as the humiliation it could have been , but can't sniff at being disappointed with beating them at home.

Looked like one to me, too. We dominated that game and should have put it to bed - that could easily have been given and we'd end up with a draw.

I'm looking forward to VAR coming in, actually.

It was a pen no doubt about it but it would have been unjust if we came out of that game with anything.

Indeed it was a pen but at the time i didn't think it was.

How poor were the Spurs today ?

Liverpool really could & should have hit 6 at least.

Well that was like spending all night to get a stunning lass back to your place and then finding out she gives the world's worst blowjobs.

We put in the leg work, got the result in the end but it could have been a lot more enjoyable!

It was a stone wall.

Awful as bad as I remember in a full season under poch.

Not sure about that deserved winners but they didn't play well either, actually given the football we know both teams are capable of it was a game lacking of any real quality.

The Son penalty ? I thought he stood on his own leg or the ball to be honest. I still can't see any contact. And whilst I thought Firminho was being a prima donna at the time, Vertonghen certainly swung his arm in a very strange direction in relation to where he was going.

Mane has clearly kicked his standing foot but tbh i never thought it was a pen at the time.

I also thought Firmino was faking it too, looks pretty nasty , fingers crossed he is ok.

I've looked again and it's a definite pen.

At the time it looked like Son just got his feet wrong but Mane just clips his right foot.

VVD could have done better for their goal.

Given our midfield has Milner and Wijnaldum, two players who I don't think any othertop 6 team would want, our midfield were just too much.

Pretty evident we still can't see out a game when we take our foot off the gas though.

With regard to the dialoowed goal in the first minute just wtf are the rules? He didn't touch it so why is it offside? Seems like they make it up as they go along.

I thought it was time wasting move but you could see on TV he had some blood on his cheek.

Getting poked in the eye running at speed will hurt like fk.

The usual what ifs. VAR should sort both. In which case the would have been over by half time wink

That Firmino injury looks nasty, hopefully no lasting damage.

Sturridge didn't do himself many favours when he came on, doesn't work for the team. If you come on with 15 to go you shouldn't stop running.

Have to say I didn't think the Son incident was a pen but it was heart in mouth stuff.

Could have been a different game had Lloris been sober. Spuds badly missed Harry today.
5 outta 5. That’ll do nicely 😂

Hope Firmino is OK, it looks nasty.

I didn't the son incident live but the slow Mo undoubtedly shows it was a pen. Can see how it was missed though.

He says it's ok.smile

I didn't look twice at the penalty incident but it was obvious in the replays.
