You are in a precarious position, top of the league but with City and Spurs breathing down your necks you can't really afford to drop points.
You paid good money for 2 potential midfield superstars but you can't afford to play them in critical games as they aren't quite up to the pace yet so you continue to play the bang average ones instead as better the devil you know.
It certainly is a dilemma for Klopp.

The position hasn't changed? It's exactly the same squad who put us 4 points clear at the top thus far? Underperforming "Superstars", who should get better, and "Bang Average" players who went 20 games unbeaten. You paid good money for 2 potential midfield superstars but you can't afford to play them in critical games as they aren't quite up to the pace yet so you continue to play the bang average ones instead as better the devil you know.

The vulnerability is with potential injuries, per the current CB situation.
We're in the title race. I fully expect City to win it but it's nice to be up there again.

I'd say a precarious position would be 17th and 4 points above the drop zone, not where we are.Would you like to trade places?

Precarious as in you can't really afford to drop too many points if you want to win the league (which I assume you do). Are people always so sensitive in this thread?Would you like to trade places?

Its not exactly a disastrous position to be in is it? I mean I admire your wishful thinking but I will think he'll be OK It certainly is a dilemma for Klopp.
(provided we beat Brighton and stop the rot)

Nope not at all. My point was simply that you have two players you paid quite a bit of money for who I'd imagine you were hoping to get in the side sooner rather than later to add a bit more quality and\or options to your midfield but at the moment you can't afford to risk giving them the game time they need to get up to speed because of where you are in the league but as usual it's snowflake central in here. (provided we beat Brighton and stop the rot)

we have the Very slight safety net of being able to lose 1 game and still be top. So hopefully we wont start looking over our shoulder every match and heaping the Pressure on ( And hopefully no mid-field Huddles From Stevie G )Adam B said:

Lets not forget we have also played City twice, been away to Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, (provided we beat Brighton and stop the rot)
Spurs still have City away, Chelsea away

Do you know what a snowflake is? His reply was just saying things could be a lot worse - not him being hurt or getting angry etc. We're still not expecting to win the league, far too long to go. Many of the "oh, you're so sensitive" replies you lot highlight are nothing to do with being hurt etc. It's just you portray them that way to have a few giggles.NRS said:

I was a bit shocked with the snowflake comment myself, Adam is always calm Guv likes to try 'subtly' wum though, this was shown when we went out of the cup and he made it out to be something we should go for when a little search on here shows him saying he wants Spurs out of the cups (when they were going for the league with Leicester)

so thanks!
I don't think anyone can really afford to drop points, not this season.
