So no one with experience of playing RB with our team. Several with no PL experience at all. When we basically need to win every game to make sure we win the league. At least we save a few 00 000's or millions on wages though!

It was always a gamble letting Clyne go, but it was the same gamble as keeping him. He's not exactly reliable cover is he?

We should manage with Milner/fab at RB, although Zaha is probably rubbing his hands right now.

In fact, we should put a 50m bid in for Zaha, to unsettle him before the weekend hehe

The second half of their season wasn't as strong as the first, which was exceptional. Couple of losses and draws but the wheels hardly came off. They beat Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs in March/April.

The draws and losses were quite spread out across the second half of the season and they're still winning games at the end with a decent margin.

I'd say, given our respective squads, we're more likely to run out of steam (as we did last season), than City. Which is why these close 1-0 wins worry me. We're far more likely to draw those games at the end of the season, than City who have the squad to cope.

If they do the same this year we will win the league - 13 wins for me and its ours, just tick them off 1 by 1 - they will drop points over the season as we will .

It will go down to last few games thats for sure.

If they repeat last seasons second half form, that's 12 wins and 2 draws = 38 points, giving them a total of 91. Means we'd need 11 wins and one draw.

I might have missed it, but Trent is out for at least 2 weeks with a knee injury: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46880117

Only discussion for me is swapping Fab and Milner.

Fabinho was a RB earlier in his career before moving into midfield. (I'm inclined to agree TAA will do the same, per Keown's observations a few weeks ago.) Milner can do it, too. Thing is, if they're playing RB then that's one less option in midfield.

We're arguably more exposed at LB. If Robbo got injured we're left with Moreno. Or Milner. So that leaves Milner playing RB, LB and CM in the starting 11.
Underlines how much of a squad you need to be competitive and, again, how City are doing so well to be battling on all fronts.

It's pretty much inconceivable that the club are in this position.

Gomez can't come back soon enough, and even then, he'd be preferred in a CB position over Matip or Lovren.

Milner is probably the best option for RB for the time being?

Chillax lads and lasses. In 2 weeks we'll be like this:

Allison

Milner Gomez VVD Robertson

Fab Hendo/Keita Wij/Shaq

With Ox to come in. Not bad.

Yep could easily be done, keeping as I've said though has people playing in their positions.
Milner is not a RB

He wasn't a LB either.

If he could translate that season he had for us as a LB into thus as a RB I'd be happy.

I get that I'm just saying 2 out of position or 1

My preference would be to put Milly at RB. If Keita is still benched by Klopp, we can't have a static midfield of Hendo and Milner especially at home.

Fab isn't exactly Usain Bolt either. Pace-wise I think they are both very similar.

Was about playing a proper RB at RB against a proper winger than a pace thing ....
