Fab isn't exactly Usain Bolt either. Pace-wise I think they are both very similar.
Was about playing a proper RB at RB against a proper winger than a pace thing ....
Clyne then? laugh

Fabinho was a RB earlier in his career before moving into midfield. (I'm inclined to agree TAA will do the same, per Keown's observations a few weeks ago.) Milner can do it, too. Thing is, if they're playing RB then that's one less option in midfield.

We're arguably more exposed at LB. If Robbo got injured we're left with Moreno. Or Milner. So that leaves Milner playing RB, LB and CM in the starting 11.
Underlines how much of a squad you need to be competitive and, again, how City are doing so well to be battling on all fronts.
I know, why I said in our team. Any of these as a stand in is fine. The issue is when they start being combined - mixing people who have not played in that position before/ no PL experience, with others who are in the same boat. Risks being disjointed and causing problems. Also leaves us weak for subs to change things up/ in case of further injuries. Hope they do fine, but it's risky.

Looks like JK is siding with you TYPE-R

David Maddock

Klopp not panicking over Trent AA injury - likely to miss only 3 games. Manager let Clyne go because he wants @JamesMilner influence in his dressing room and in team if possible...and back up full back (on both sides) offers opportunity. Gomez back next week too #LFC

Kane is out with an ankle ligament injury apparantly.

Pretty devastating for them.

It is. Was it ever confirmed that it was a fibula break?

This highlights an area not quite as recognised in factors influencing team selection by most. Milner is clearly very highly thought of.

Crazy what can be done medically these days, would be great to see him and Virgil back together.

Can't believe we could see Ox this season too.

Is it still 10 games to pick up a medal? wink

Surprised they haven't offered him a new contract, yet.

Me too - must be worth a new 1 year deal at least. Maybe he's turned one down and wants to leave his options open - he knows the writing's on the wall I imagine.

Yep and no doubt will want to go to LEEDS if they get promoted

Per the conversation over the last two pages. We'd be mad to let him go.

We need to make every effort to keep Milner, he is one of our fittest players and a huge influence on and off the pitch.

Fulham have signed Ryan Babel until the end of the season. Had no idea he was still playing!

I'd like to see Keita get a good run of full 90 minute games, see what he's all about, especially as Hendo ain't quite doing the bizz.

What's Keitas best position? AMC?

Not too fussed about the RB position either, we have decent cover and will bolster up soon enough.

Looks like the trial has started with the officer in charge from Hillsborough.

His hair though. Think he misses us a little.
