Yea, I don't think they're having a great season, plus they've got some key players out.

We'll be favourites at home, but at theirs I'd say they are marginally favourites.

Lovren and Firmino missed training today. Clearly both are doubtful for tomorrow.

Lovren definitely misses tomorrow nights game, Bobby has a virus.

James Pearce never delivers good news.

I think TAA will play.
I hope he does, so Milner can play in the middle. It could well be Milner, Gini and Hendo which would mean a more defensive approach. If Bobby is out, too, then we're going to be seriously on the back foot.

Shaq playing in the Firmino role with that trio might work

That'll work for me. Maybe even have the front 2 come out wide and risk throwing Origi on and telling him to run like a headless chicken for 90 minutes.

Forgot about the VvD ban frown Hopefully the CBs will have a good game though. Guess with all the missing first teamers missing a draw or scrape win would be a decent result?

If it's like the previous games we played well at Anfield, but did crap away in Europe this year (from memory).

I think they should definitely have Moreno in for his speed and attacking flair.

And then have the other 10 players parked in our own penalty area for 90 minutes to compensate.

We need to win, and we're capable they're no better than we are I don't think.

With our away form in Europe it would be nice to have a few goal cushion.

I don't think they've scored at Anfield in three previous attempts.

One thing I will say is we've never scored 9 at anfield in the CL...

I'm surprisingly sanguine about the match tonight - it feels much less important than the game on Sunday.

I am not sure why that is as I have spent the last week convincing myself we aren't going to win the league so I should be more up for Europe.

It's so weird, I hardly ever look past teams, but it almost seems like tonight's game is 'in the way' of the match on Sunday.

Hope we get a good result tonight, a clean sheet would be amazing, but unlikely, given the injuries/suspension in our defence.

Think the midfield is key.

I am a lot more worried about Sunday than I was before last night,
UTD especially Pogba and Rashford were on top form last night and if they play like that on Sunday we could be in Trouble.

In form Pogba and Rashford are very dangerous - with an X factor that is hard to stop,

PSG showed it could be done, however given than Pogba in particular has been on fire since OGS came back he's allowed an off day so it could just have been that.

Couldn't care less about them, they're irrelevant until they come to Anfield.

Saying that, they have better players than most of the top 6 clubs, just bad management.

I feel the same. Far more interested in the Prem, this season. We've hardly covered ourselves in glory in the CL this season but if we stay in or out seems less important this year.
