I feel the same. Far more interested in the Prem, this season. We've hardly covered ourselves in glory in the CL this season but if we stay in or out seems less important this year.
We need to get in back in the groove of winning every game if we stand any chance on Sunday and league games to come

A win tonight could do wonders for confidence going into the weekend game, unfortunately a loss could probably have the opposite affect too. I'm confident of a win tonight, sure they're poo'ing themselves just as much as us.

I fancy us tonight, even without VVD.

'Famous last words' but you're right that they'll have more to worry about than us, I reckon.

Of all the group runners up we would have been one of the teams the others wanted to avoid. Whereas it made little difference for us.

Some pundits say we're underdogs, some say we're the favourites.

I think we can take from that that it's finely balanced.

Looks like they may be without Colman too.

Not sure who I'd rather have in defence Lovren or Fab.

Lots of personal interest for Klopp in this one which will be driving the German press nuts (I'm assuming). I think we're fielding a weakened defence against a very good side. Just looked and Munich have lost four games in their league this year so they're not as all conquering as they have been in the past but that squad looks too good to be unable to get at least one against our yet-to-be-confirmed centre back pairing. These are the ties the European Cup are about. I'm hopeful we get through the game without any further injuries regardless of result.

Personally, I think we can beat Bayern - as said, I doubt any other team would have wanted to meet us. I just don't feel as bothered as to whether we do or not.

I am really confident about tonight, less so about Sunday.

I think we will concede, but think the lads will be up for it and in fine form going forward.

3-1 I say.

I think the issue about Sunday is that Utd are still largely an unknown quantity. They've looked good against most sides they've come up against, but have they played anyone decent?

Chelsea were massively poor last night. Gave Utd far too much time on the ball and let players constantly ghost in from midfield without being picked up in defence.

The only time Utd have played a decent team (PSG) they looked very average. At home.

They did beat Spurs.
And at least in the first half they looked good for it.

Even against PSG they were a long way from the rabble that they were under JM

And OGS will have the wound up to the max.

Plus it's the sort of st that happens in football.

My OH found a couple of tickets for £40 each. Didn't go for it as the price just seemed scammy.

The UTD game is going to be a toughie. They've played 2 decent teams since OGS took over, spuds and PSG. They'll be desperate to avenge their defeat at ours, their last loss in the league. Can't help but like OGS and his weird accent. Pogba and Radford are the key.

Whilst I admire your confidence that is borderline cocky IMHO, Utd have looked very good recently and better than us a lot of that time. It will be a very tough game and a draw wouldn't be a bad result (praying for a win of course)

Oh I completely agree. Our win against JM in such dominant style doesn't happen very often for either side in this fixture. Form goes out of the window. But IMO they're just a step above a poor Chelsea and Arsenal side in terms of the top six league.

I think it's going to be a difficult game, especially given our injuries, but I'm not as concerned as everyone else is. Besides, haven't they still got to play City too? We only have to equal or better the result they both get.

You could argue he fielded a team designed to lose and hand him his golden handshake.

They are, but this Chelsea side drew 1-1 with us and knocked us out of the league cup at Anfield.

I will feel a lot happier if I see a TAA, Matip VVD, Robertson back line restored

Apparently Firmino has been given the green light for tonight's game.

And hope Gomez is only 2 or 3 weeks away.
