Am I really supposed to believe that Frank Ribera is only 35 ?

Think we need to find a goal here, based on our away form in the CL this year...

Set pieces have been a bit rubbish tonight.

Good result 0-0 although are away form in CL has been pretty sh!te. Still think we have a great chance to qualify and we are more than getting a result at the Allianz.

Agreed. Although we'll need a few better final passes and better set pieces. No mugs, Bayern.

Good that they didn't get an away goal. Bayern played well and put a shift in.

All still to play for.

As said in the commentary - we'll have some key players back and Bayern will be without a couple in the 2nd leg. Who knows! Should be an interesting game.

Our final pass was missing tonight. Other than that pretty solid. Happy enough, pressure is on them now With away goals.

Poor second half from us, thought we'd at least put one chance away, but most importantly I wanted a clean sheet and we got it.

Bayern were brilliant and worked extremely hard, but they'll know full well that one goal for us in Munich and they're in trouble.

Happy with that.

Just got back and overall it was a bit flat.

In the second half it felt like we were OK with a draw and had one eye on keeping fresh legs for the weekend.

It felt like they didn't really try to play and they were very cynical, but they obviously know what they are doing.

I think we can do them over there but tbh I'd rather smash utd.

Bayern showed their experience with a very good defensive performance - we had our chances which on another day, we would have walked away with a 2-0 win at the very least.

The way I see it, 0-0 is a very good result given our makeshift defence, given that we have been without football for 10 days, given that Bayern will play more expansive at the Allianz which suits us and given that we really want to peak at the weekend. Bayern really was just the perfect warm-up.

Some pint half full thinking here.

Admirable but don’t you think BM would be delighted to escape Anfield at 0-0 (which seemed to be their game plan)

If we were playing consistently well I’d be confident but we are not (Bournemouth aside) and our away form is crap. It could quite easily be another insipid performance out there and a comfortable win for them.

BM must be slight favourites now

Wasn't very impressed with that attacking performance tbh.

Defence was surprisingly good, Levandowski only having three touches in the area was great from that point of view.

Attacking was another story, TAA was fairly poor misplacing an awful lot of passes but he has been out for a while so probably a bit rusty. Forwards just couldn't make the most of their chances and a few times the final ball let us down.

Very happy they didn't score but not really impressed with the result on the whole

Not conceding an away goal was key in a tricky tie like this. I'd say with VVD back next game, it's in your hands.
Fabinho was magic last night.

Very surprising. Although it is said that you’re only as old as the woman you feel...

Quite happy to come away 0-0

Thought our defense were great.

Going forward we looked good, just lacked that final touch - Salah, Mane and Bobby all wasteful on occasion.

Kieta seems to be moving towards the player we thought we'd bought which is good news. Gini was great again.

Fab was strong in defense, so glad to se him coming good - took a few games but he's super strong now in the middle or also in defense it appears.

Didn't concede an away goal. No further injuries.

As core draw or better and we're through.

Strong favourites IMO. It's not like last season when you could be confident we'd get a goal whoever we played. We've been horrible away in Europe this season.

At home since the end of 2013 and over 30 games BM have only lost 3 games, all of them against Real. Combined with our poor form away this year they are favourites. However our defence is strong this year, so can't see them scoring too many against us. Same with what we saw last night. So hopefully we should still go through even with 1 or 2 goals, potentially with a low scoring draw.

My larger worry is in recent games going into a series of draws, which previously we'd scrape a win. We've still done well this year whatever happens, but if we don't improve soon then certainly not going to beat City to the league.

How can you lot be so negative about last - we had a bloody makeshift defence and came away with a clean sheet. We created quite a few chances - it was just the final ball that was poor, which happens from time to time! Just because we've been poor away from home in 3 games in the CL, doesn't mean the 4th will be equally as bad. That is not how football works.

In Europe, at home, in some situations: 0-0 > 2-1.
