I thought this was all part and parcel of the wonderful culture of Liverpool so you either learn to live with it or move. Every major city has crime but only one has an actual reputation for it. After all a million hub cab\if it's not nailed down it's gone Scouser jokes can't be wrong. wink
Grow up you idiot.

Well deserved, Klopp has a very bad attitude when things don't go his way.

Yep it was a stupid comment to make. Lazy stereotypes exist and continue to be used by the hard of thinking, or comedians after a cheap laugh (I wonder if that Scouse comedian did the same routine in Liverpool?)

People like to generalise and use lazy stereotypes to take the piss. Generally to belittle another group/tribe to feel part of your tribe and make themselves feel better. Tribalism is rife in football and is part of the enjoyment but is generally what leads to most tttish behaviour from an idiot minority.

These days the city/region you are from is possibly the last acceptable way of grouping people and taking the piss. Abusing by race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, nationality, mental health are now all taboo, and rightly so.

I am not from the NW let alone Liverpool so don't take it as personally as others on here would have right to, but I do find it strange how some people think "dippers" is acceptable (stealing from bins, really?) and same goes for "rent boys" for Chelsea.

Probably no equivalent for Tottenham - its known for riots and being a bit of a dump but not famously so. Its in North London which has a big Jewish community, and there are lots of unpleasant stereotypes there which fortunately are taboo (and there was that nonsense of use of the Y word, mainly by their own fans). So I guess they can continue to use the stereotype with impunity.

All a bit daft IMHO

Another good post Adam, I don't tend to post a lot on here these days, got a bit disillusioned with the stereotypes and general childishness, but sometimes feel compelled to post when someone really boils my piss.

As a proud Scouser all my life (almost 53 years) Ive never had my car stolen , (nor my hub caps), nor my house broken into, I'm not saying it doesn't go on here as it obviously does as in all cities.

Strangely enough when the annual national car crime /house crime figures are announced Liverpool are generally way down the list. Even car insurance is cheaper here than most other large citys (London / Manghester / Birmingham) for example, sadly it just goes to show that st really does stick and it takes a long time to lose any stereotypes.

Who knows - if we start getting enough of them we might end up behind you in the table.

Or 40 odd out of the last 50.

Personally I don't think any subject is off limits for comedy. But if you're going to make jokes about certain sensitive subjects you better make sure it's fking funny.

The comments about Mane being burgled weren't amusing or funny in the slightest. As others have said, just the same old, lazy, boring stereotypes banded out by those lacking wit and originality.

Really shouldn't take very much for a footballer to get a house sitter in, if the house is vacant for an evening. Shouldn't be needed, no - but clearly they're a high profile target around match time, even if it doesn't happen every season. Or just a private security bloke with a big stick.

We've managed to get to February this year, which is better than the normal January! biggrin

To be fair I think you guys are very strong this year and it would take a minor miracle for us to finish above you. However were the unthinkable to happen, I think I'd laugh myself into a coma.

Mane has been done twice. You'd assume he'd have put more measures in place after the first time but clearly they've not been put off. Poor bloke will have to deal with all the st again.
