At Madrid everyone knows you're on borrowed time from day one. That's not appealling to a manager.

He's in a strong bargaining position now. He's got them over a barrel. Utd will promise him the earth.
Unlike United where every manager gets to work the whole duration of their contract?
I think they (and every other club on earth come to that hehe ) give you a fairer crack of the whip than Madrid. Look what they did to Zidane.
Zidane wasn’t sacked. One of the few to leave on his own terms.

Fun fact...David Moyes contract at United wouldn’t have expired yet if he was still there.

I'm not saying Utd will be successful in their attempt, but saying he will dismiss their offer without a second thought is looking at it through Spurs tinted glasses IMO.

Utd are a much bigger club and an approach is coming. I think it will fail as I think he'd rather go to Spain, but it's coming and he will listen to what they've got to say.
He would have gone to Madrid if he was going anywhere.

He dislikes Barca. He loves Spain and holidays there when out of season. He speaks the lingo.

United offer nothing compared to either Spurs (at the moment) or Madrid at any time.

They can try but they are asking him to give up...

London
Far superior training ground
Far superior stadium
Far superior current team
Stability (even if he doesn't win stuff - which he hasn't yet)
A team that believes in him
A team he believes in
And he's currently on £8.5m per year so he's no pauper.

Never. Going. To. Happen.
Is that delusion being a Spurs fan or your opinion?

What does London have that Manchester don't have, that can fill Pochettino's empty weekly schedule?

Far superior training ground and stadium? How is the training ground far superior? Why would a manager care about a stadium?

Stability. As a manager you choose your own battles before you get the job and whilst in the job. Would he have a DOF? Would he get a say in signings? Sorted before he can put himself in the situation Mourinho found himself in.

The team. He would be going to Man Utd. He would have a bigger budget than Spurs can ever give him. He can challenge for trophies that Spurs will never challenge for.

Man Utd are the biggest side in the world in terms of revenue. If they want to return to their glories they will have to spend.

It might happen if he wants it to. If he has ambition then he will go there. No being funny but Spurs aren't in the same league as Man Utd in terms of global names and never will be.

Yeah, to be fair, you could probably just pick the best player for each position and let them get on with it and they'd do better. Mourinho really did stifle the team.

Funnily enough I had honey an lemon tea about 7am. Lemon In pepsi max about 10am.
I'm not bitter. I support neither side. Merely stating facts.

Ask any football supporters worldwide and they will simply say Man Utd are bigger than Spurs.

Ask Mourinho - he never actually moved to Manchester but did keep his house in London biggrin

Try googling Tottenham Training ground and hotel and then comparing it with your own.

It's a state of the art stadium in London - it's exciting and he's referenced it many times before

I think you'll find we are already in the last 16 of the ECL and 3rd in the league - what trophies are these that Spurs will never challenge for?

You appear to have the 'entitled complex'. Poch's failure to move to United will put a dent in that biggrin

And United aren't as big as Real Madrid and never will be and Poch turned them down.

That's true at the moment but your stature is dwindling. You were the biggest in the world but then Ronnie and others left you.

You're certainly the biggest in revenue terms but that means fk all or Ronnie wouldn't have left you. Even considering your wealth you have no truly World Class players at the moment DDG aside.

And even Mourinho said that "it is not possible any more to go and get Spurs best players so who has the power, Man Utd or Spurs?"

We'll see how this pans out but the TV riches and new wealthy owners have levelled the playing field - lets see who you actually get to take over. biggrin

So Spurs look more attractive to a player because their training ground is 18 years newer than Man Utds?
Is that how it works?

I'm sure if Man Utd want to go and buy Dembele/ Dybala they will be swayed more by the project of signings and aims to win the champions league or the premier league than thoughts of 'oh Spurs have a newer training ground with over 150 new and semi-mature trees and thousands of new plants'

Thought process of a player

Wages
club prestige
Trophies
Climate
Location
Manager
Same nationality team mates?
Good internet connection for PS4
Will the manager let me drive a supercar
Nearby nandos?
Training facilities

So why didn't Gareth Bale sign - you'd have offered the same wages as Madrid? Or Modric? Why did Ronnie leave if Wages were the number 1 consideration? Why wouldn't Kane leave Spurs for United?

Pick on? You are on a internet forum you know? Not in primary school.

I support Liverpool by the way but i'm a realist in that it's never always our year next year and Man Utd, Real Madrid and Barcelona are the biggest teams in the world.

I've never been in here before. I thought i'd have a look at what people thought about the whole of the media basically saying Pochettino will be Man Utd's manager next season until I seen a post comparing Man Utd and Spurs and was baffled.

Real Madrid are the biggest side in the world. That's that pretty much in a few words.
Wages, prestige, trophies and climate all rolled into one.

There is no comparison - which is why Poch will stay at Spurs - HTH

Which would make it very strange that he would turn down Madrid and go to United.

It’s not like either job won’t be up for a new manger in a couple of years at most anyway.

On that basis, Klopp and every Liverpool player are desperate to join United and will be doing everything in their power to make it happen?

I would be fking devastated if Poch left us, regardless of who for.

I'm sure he has designs to take us into the new stadium and at least have the first full season there to see what he can do with his squad.

But he needs to be backed in the transfer market - starting next month.

If Levy doesn't spend big in 2019 then Poch will be gone IMO.
