Yep he comes across as a snidey little git that gets involved when he shouldn't. Wish we signed him when we had the chance though (allegedly). Costa is a good parallel, Bellamy is another one that springs to mind, Fellaini and Suarez too. Of varying quality of courseselym said:

He delivers the goods (and them some) which is what matters at the end of the day. As long as the other shenanigans don't effect his game, that's all that matters, except if you are on the receiving end of course.

How else do you explain all the vitriol against a club and certain players who haven't won anything? I don't go to Spurs games so just judging it from PH perspective.
See a fair amount of annoyance as the WUMs on here have a high spurs contingent (IMHO) but vitriol is a bit strong - I see more of it towards Chelsea and City to be honest, due to the "plastic billionaire playthings" tag.
But hey-ho, crack on with the poor us attitude if you want, maybe I am just blind to it
The players seem like a decent bunch, only Alli seems to rub people up the wrong way. Can't say I find any others unpleasant. I am sure they get vitriol from Arsenal or Chelsea fans but thats just the local knuckle dragging rivalries

Alli will probably end up with personal career stats better than Gerrard, Scholes, Beckham & fatty Lamps & i reckon that is why fans of other clubs dislike him so much.
Obviously if he stays at Spurs he'll never win the trophies the above players have but for goals & assists he will smash them if he avoids any serious injury

I wasnt referring to PH. PH is about 20 middled aged blokes and one really old one in a mental home. I actually think this is probably the nicest online footy forum as a group.
I'm talking about the football community as a whole including the media which in this age of clickbait is a reflection of it's audience.
Everybody is desperate to justify their clubs decision to ruin the sport even further by buying instant success that any club who doesnt should be mocked and shamed. We were a team of plucky upstarts that overstayed our welcome and dont know our place. Unlike Leicester.
