Then again beating Spurs is a massive thing for them these days.
There's an article in the telegraph as well. I can't access it but it's available on Apple News if you have access to it.

It always has been and if you're honest, the reverse is also true.

2018 should be heavily positive having received 140 for PC and spent 180 odd on Keita/VVD/Allisson (of which only c.30 will be expensed in 2018) plus good CL run

wasn't the price for those 3 alone north of £200m?

only using sye's calculator

VVD 75, Allisson 67 Keita 48 = 190 although that includes some add-ons

Ah okay i thought Keita was closer to £60m?

Then of course you add Shaq and Fabinho your hitting quarter of a billion quid! its a hell of a spend.

Not if you take off the cash for the sale of PC.

If we keep regular champions league football it's comfortably affordable.

If we go back to 6th/7th they will all be sold, or leave when contracts expire.

Yep its about 240 with them but as you well know its nonsense to look at gross spend even if it never suits your arguments. LFC would not have spent 240 if they hadn't sold PC for 140

so 100 net spend, and a lot of rebuilding done, we won;t be splurging on a new keeper and top CB for a while

now lets have some context - we made 72 from our CL run to the final and make 12 a year from the new stand

so the massive spend you like to go on about was paid for in the same year by Coutinho and the CL success and the new stand

Even with the PC money its still a massive spend it cant be denied.

If you go back to 7th with those players they wont be worth what you paid for them laugh

Hang on, you bought it up not me i was just querying some of your figure work and pointing out a few that youd missed.

For clarity there isnt anything wrong with it its earned money unlike the doped clubs, i certainly wish we had £250m to spend.

The spend was net ZERO

It was a massive investment yes - as the owners could have taken the 240m as dividends, instead it was invested in players

£250m - £140m = £0?

On a net basis it's not that much. So I am denying it's a massive spend. This expenditure would not have been incurred without the income.

And yes if we go back to 7th then the players won't have appreciated in value but their wages will be off the books and the depreciation will be done and dusted.
