Yes, perhaps a useful one.

I did have a thought today though - we could just play Lukaku at CB with instructions to control any ball played into our box. They’d all be effectively cleared over the halfway line.

BCM more to the point whassup at spurs? Selling off your players left right and centre? Rose and Trippier on their way?
Incoming to replace them or paying off the shiny new ground? :-)
McGuire deal I reckon on hold as price gap too big.
Well i bloody hope our man has something up his sleeve , Does seem a bit radical us offloading our two first choice full backs . Hoping the young lad from Fulham will be a goer .

I just think it's a game of poker regarding McGuire, Seems Leicester are prepared to sell & the player wants to leave but i feel McGuire is a good honest pro & will not play up or pretend to have a bad back.

Pretty sure he'll be wearing a red shirt next season. Possibly Fernandez too if the whispers are to be believed, now he is a good footballer.

Have a good day everyone

He may be awful (and he is), but he’s all we have in terms of an actual goal scorer. We will really struggle if we sell and don’t replace.

Sounds like Greenwood is being touted for a start against Chelsea.

Someone sent me a clip of how quick James is. He is scary fast, just hope he doesn't end up the next Walcott.

Mason Greenwood at 17 is a star of the future if nurtured correctly. Some of his u18 goals are phenomenal. Would be too much to expect him to lead our attack all season though at this stage

He's deffo not a Walcott because he can actually control the ball and hit the target. He's going to be a star for us that boy!

Its great when you have some promising youngsters coming through, there is talk we needed a striker (I knew he was gonna bring Brewster through)

Left back was another talk - althought im leaning towards the youth player ive been watching in pre season, looks like a perfect klopp player

And we have a cracking defender Hoever who will cover RB and CB

Much rather see these come through than splash cash on some money driven reserve.

Looks like you are doing the same with some of your youngsters to

Have you told Jürgen about this young player you have you’re eye on ?

Really Sye why have you posted a post about young players at Liverpool o the United thread? Oh & BTW Liverpool would never have won the Runners up spot & CL if they didn’t splash the cash

This is true, but the fans are much more forgiving if you give some kids ago rather buy someone they've never heard of for 20 million.

I was talking about Liverpool and United and fans like me wanting to see the young players come through, what's your issue?

And I never said we would have, we splashed the cash where we needed to in our 1st team, starters, these young lads I'm on about will get bit barts this year, some more than others.

You mising being able to post in some threads BCM, you seem a bit homeless
Are you guys up to 100m spent yet?

In today’s game watching kids come through is one of the more pleasing aspects ,and seeing clubs allow them to develop instead of trying to buy instant success is encouraging .

Agreed, if they have the quality them them flourish, they just need to take their chances when they get them

Having finally managing to decipher the gobbledygook you posted , it does sound like an “you’ll be ok if you do what we do post “ .Liverpool only Play one homegrown youth player in a fully fit strongest side they can field . Oh & only one English footballer too .

Liverpool are just like nearly every other top 6 teams regarded no their youth set up

Its really not rocket science to understand its harder for youth players to get in, they are up against world class players

I don't get your last gobbledygook sentence sorry

My original point was we have a couple of youth this year coming through who will be part of our 1st team squad and its good to see, why are you trying to make an issue out of this is beyond me, are you really that bored?

Man United could have 8/9 English players in the first team come the start of the season.

Condescending ? you talk crap

I was simply commenting on what i read which was a lot of fans on this thread getting excited about young players as I do with my club, take that how you wish, its of no surprise you feel the need to make it a LFC v UTD or anyone issue though.

You best not have the last word you might get banned from this thread to wink
