The problem with Rose is he tries to take people on, loses the ball, then has no cover behind him as he's supposed to be the last defender on that wing. He also makes some good runs but his final ball is often so poor you wonder why he even bothers. So LOTS of running around but can't defend and can't cross. At least Davies can defend.

Llorente can be very useful IF we play to his strengths but for some reason our players don't seem to realise we have an 8ft forward who can win most balls in the air with ease or hold up the ball if you play it to his feet so we spend 95% of the game passing the ball around the outside of the area, completely ignoring him.
I see you've watched us play hehe

And we'll have some fun if Moura gets to run at Blind.
This is what I'm praying for, Moura's pace should destroy him.

I think the West Ham defeat has actually done us a favour.

If we'd won 2 or 3 nil, we'd probably stroll into this game.

As it is, they've had a fking big kick up the backside and know they have to do better.

I think.

hehe

The problem with Moura is he can be very hit and miss. Sometimes he looks like the most skilful Brazilian player in the world, taking on 2-3 players with ease and finishing superbly, then he'll have games were he hardly does anything, like he almost forgets how good he is and won't try to take players on.

I just hope the good Moura turns up today.

The WH result was entirely predictable, given every single Spurs player was already thinking ahead to Tuesday night. You could see it when it came to the fine margins that define such games. We didn't compete properly imo.

So, yes I agree - we should absolutely be on it tonight, first 20 minutes critical. I don't expect Llorente to start, probably Moura on his own so we pack the midfield a little more, Ajax play nice football between the lines, so you need 2 defensive midfielders to nullify them.

Play Rose on the left of a three with Jan left midfield to stick some decent crosses on to the big mans head.
