I didn't think they were anything special. Well organised at the back but no better than Dortmund and miles off the quality of Citeh. Disappointing that we have so many attacking players missing at the same time but Son back for the return and away goals potential.
2-0 would have been tough but 1-0 is no way insurmountable.

Spurs looking out of their depth.
Long season catching up?
What's coming back to bite us on the bum is the lack of a break for our squad after the world cup and no pre-season...just straight into it.Long season catching up?
And if Ajax doesn't have WC players….

Real and Juve are way off City as well.2-0 would have been tough but 1-0 is no way insurmountable.
Dissapointing it's still a game in Amsterdam.
Spurs are a bunch of go at it's with limited technical ability creating zero chances.

Spurs should've bought a dozen more players, you received 190m in free TV rights monies more than Ajax.
Without doing anything other than being in a leaque with Glazer United, Arsene'al, Chelski and $ity.
The dirty money leaque, getting 4 CL places for free.
Ajax - Barca final please..

Go watch your Etihad, Emirates, Chrevrolet sponsered Oligarch and Arab slave trading money leaque.
Shame though the surounding neighbourhood pleb from the 1bn Tottenham stadium can't afford the entrance fee.
Meanwhile Ed Woodward still thinks he can run a club.
And I'm annoyed because Ajax didn't kill the game.

We get it, you don't like the fact that 4 teams from England are contesting for
places in 2 top finals, that plus the fact that the Prem is almost certainly the
most entertaining league to watch, globally ,rankles and upsets you.
We understand your pain.
Really disappointed in Eriksen and Alli not stepping up. Again. You'd think in a CL semi final they'd want to show the world how good they are.
Llorente was embarrassing. Strolling around, not making runs, not tracking back. He's like Berbatov but without the goal return.
Would have been nice to not have to use him but we literally had no choice. I understand Janssen being ineligible but apparently we can't put Troy Parrot on the bench because of some rule that he needs to have been with us for 2 years? Does anyone know what the actual rule is? Oh, and he played for the U23s against Derby on Monday and got stretchered off with a leg injury. So that's another forward unavailable. Surprised we haven't recalled Sterling from his loan at Sunderland. Playing kids would be better than playing Llorente.
Sissoko was immense - have we found the Dembele replacement?
WTF they were doing bringing Jan back on I don't know but that needs to be investigated and lessons need to be learned because that was really poor.
I didn't see any trouble but know from the WhatsApp group there was some nastiness occurring on the High Road before the game which is a shame as the Ajax fans I met were good natured and pretty chilled.
A disappointing result but we're not out of the tie and with Son back from suspension for the return leg we have increased our chances of scoring especially as they have been poor at home in the CL. It would be nice if we didn't have to look at him to dig us out of a hole though - hopefully Alli and Eriksen get a kick up the arse and show up for the game.

As a neutral(!), I think the biggest disappointment wasn't the result; it was that Spurs didn't come out like they really wanted it. Even with the players you had, you should have taken the game to them. Rather they dominated you in the first half. They are a good, young team however if you go out with a whimper, that would be the biggest disapointment of all. A lot of people are pinning their hopes of Son returning; I would be more concerned about the desire and the will to win last night.
