We've definitely lost the high intensity press and rapid turnaround and passing to attack that we were great at a couple of years ago. I don't think we can blame this all on losing Dembele tbh. It does seem like there has been a change of emphasis in play style.
I can't imagine for one minute that pass it around slowly and lifelessly for 90 minutes is Poch's new master plan though. Hopefully this is just a transition period to something a bit more exciting. In all my years of supporting Spurs, the one thing I could say with consistency is that we were at least exciting to watch, I really couldn't say that at the moment.

There is an article on the Sky Sports Football website that seems to demonstrate that we are now the least pressing team in the premier league.
Pochettino must have another plan up his sleeve. I'm afraid I can't see what it is.
If you are giving Poch the benefit of the doubt, there are a some possible explanations, the pressing tactics fell away after dembele left, and it wasn't as effective against teams how park the bus/use a low block.Pochettino must have another plan up his sleeve. I'm afraid I can't see what it is.
Maybe Poch will try and go back to pressing, now we have ndombele or maybe its a strategy that has had its days and we need a new approach.
Alternatively Poch has gone stale and its time for Levy to call roger schmidt (or Marcelino if we want to sit back and counter fast, but would mean changing the squad around).
