Let’s not talk about the clear foul on Mctominay in the build up to Dele’s fabulous but ultimately irrelevant goal tonight.
Quiet in here tonight.
Ole ole ole ole ole ole.
You lot did well - weren't you the only team to beat one above them so far this midweek?Quiet in here tonight.
Ole ole ole ole ole ole.
Still, you're still only 7 points clear of a bottom 3 place, but 8 points short of 4th.

A game where, ironically, Poch's possession and pressing tactics would have been more successful than Mourinho's hoof-ball. Hoofing the ball down the pitch to be picked off by Utds defensive shield to allow them to build another attack didn't work pretty much from minute 1 yet he stuck with it. Hopefully he's realised the size of the task he's got infront of him because we really are ste at the moment. Still - Amazon must be absolutely salivating at how the narrative is panning out for the documentary.
Nice to see Rashford have a good game at last - even if it was against us. Hope he continues to improve for the rest of the season in to the Euros. His ability to get a goal from nothing would be a real asset for the national team.

We were back to our turgid worst, no energy, movement or passion so that new manager bounce didn't last long at all. OK Utd actually turned up for a change and didn't make it easy for us but we were so poor all over the pitch, only Alli and Son seemingly interested, even Kane was non-existent.
I really don't get what's happened to be honest, this is effectively the same group of players that have been challenging for top 4 the last 5 or so years. Sure we have 2-3 or bang average players but so does every other team bar City. Our entire squad haven't all turned st overnight, something is still not right mentally IMO.
I think Jose may have realised just what a monumental task he has on his hands to try to turn this around. It's not going to be quick fix.
Think we can pretty much write off this season, make sure we don't get relegated and hope Levy get's his cheque book out in the summer.

I watched the first 20mins or so and I couldn't believe that Kane was playing so deep. There were often 3, 4 or even 5 spurs players ahead of him and he was ambling forward from deep midfield. Compare to Mane who started the move for his goal just outside his own box then busted a gut to get forward to finish the move. Something is seriously wrong there, he just shouldn't be doing that and I'm surprised Mourinho is letting it happen. Is he like that every match?I really don't get what's happened to be honest, this is effectively the same group of players that have been challenging for top 4 the last 5 or so years. Other Spurs fans on here will tell you he's still the best thing since sliced bread but I also find he doesn't have the same level of intensity he used to have. Admittedly when the team around him isn't playing well and he doesn't get the service, he has always tended to drop deep out of sheer frustration but his will to bust a gut and fashion goals out of nothing has definitely taken a dip for me in the last 6 months. I think it's just part of the general malaise that is effecting the whole team this year though, even he's not immune to it.
I would like Jose to tell him to stop dropping so deep though, doesn't matter what the rest of the team is doing, do your job and stay where you are most useful.

It's that pesky opposition raising their game especially for Spurs again
To be fair, Utd were so much better than they have been recently! Ole must think he walks in to the wrong club at times with the Jekyll and Hyde performances his team put in.Then again the same has been true of Spurs of late too!

He's not a goal poacher like a Vardy or an Abraham, he's a number 10 who will drop in to midfield and work the space from there. He also has a killer pass in him and his passing is very underrated.
People are getting on his case because he's a forward and forwards are supposed to score the most goals. And I'm sure by his own standards he's disappointed with his goal tally so far, but then if the team is playing st he can't do it all himself.

Inconsistency, the trade mark of all great teams. Then again the same has been true of Spurs of late too!

i wonder what Maureen said to Alli though or was it just publically calling him out has fired him up?
I wonder if thats was Poch's downfall, became too chummy with the players and whilst he may not have lost the locker room, they didn't respect him as a 'boss' anymore?
Alli's playing 10 yards further up the pitch - where he likes to play. It's not about being chummy with players its about playing them in their best positions.I wonder if thats was Poch's downfall, became too chummy with the players and whilst he may not have lost the locker room, they didn't respect him as a 'boss' anymore?
