Jose hinting he's going to rotate a few for tonight's game as we're already through. Whilst it's nice to be going in to CL game where the result doesn't matter I hope he uses it as an opportunity to work on the defence and decide what his first choice really is. Got a couple of tricky PL games coming up we could use tonight as prep.

Yep I'd like to see him give Sess and Lo Celso a full game. I'm also sure I heard in one of his interviews that he wouldn't play Kane in this match.

Should just stick Sissoko up front. wink

I wonder what will happen when Lloris comes back, will he return to being the starting goalie or slowly reintroduced or become the cup games keeper?

Yep I agree, I don't think we are in desperate need of a keeper, it's our defence that needs sorting. At least one CB, one fullback and top priority for me, a proper CDM.

I know Jose likes Dier but for me neither he or Sissoko are good enough to play in such a pivotal role.

That looks like a team that won't even get 2 this time. With a bit of luck Bayern won't put their foot to the floor as they have already qualified.

The team just gave up to the point where their players were just walking through our midfield and defence. No idea what was going on tbh, even if there are issues in the background professional pride should have prevented such a drubbing.
There still struggling in the German league, that game was a bit weird, everything they hit went in, depending on your team and theirs you will have a chance....

That was the thing, they found a perfect finish to every chance we gifted them. Gnabry scored 4 goals against us and managed 0 in his other 3 CL games. 4 goals in 12 BL matches. Would be more understandable if it was Lewandowski scoring them all. Even the Kimmich first and Lewandowski second goals probably couldn't be repeated if they tried another 10 times. Perfect performance by Bayern. Less so from us. But as said, on any other night it probably would have been 3-0 at HT. Such is the fickle hand of fate...hehe

Tonight is a dead rubber so I can't Bayern risking any 1st 11 players either.

Fortunately we've done enough in the other group games that the result tonight doesn't matter, so I don't think anyone cares whether we have a chance or not. The result is irrelevant. For me its an opportunity to give your chosen first choice defence and DMs some game time ahead of a potentially tricky couple of league games. Harry has scored 24 in 25 starts this season and can have a rest if he wants. Son is probably still knackered from his wonder goal and Alli probably needs a lie down through the shock of being played in his preferred position, so we've got a chance to play the likes of Parrot and perhaps give Eriksen some shop window time in a game that doesn't matter.

Totally and you have a tricky away fixture at the weekend - Wolves on a 11 game unbeaten run in the Prem

That's the first of the two potentially tricky games I mentioned in the post you quoted the other is Chelsea

So much for my idea of trying to give the first choice defensive unit some game time. laugh

Not much on the bench either, although son is there, also Wanyama.
Sissoko is playing though. We don't need a striker biggrin
