Remember though we do this with no midfield and really no middle forward as Bobby is no good either So basically we get where we are with a
4

2
Formation
Oh and remember 1 player is just 1 footed, 1 season wonder
And Mané is not all that

Heh, now I know why I usually don’t bother posting outside match days.
Not sure if it WUMing or just plain ignorance of tactics and systems, but whatever, it’s fking annoying.
TBF, you know exactly what level you're at when somone lists Ozil, Pepe and Miki as midfielders the opposition could field to run the show. That wouldn't even work on FIFA.Not sure if it WUMing or just plain ignorance of tactics and systems, but whatever, it’s fking annoying.
It’s amazing how some still seem to think championship manager style players are the only good ones. Boring players in the right formation are critical to help the team succeed. And it so far (very early days) doesn’t seem like last season was a fluke as some people predicted based on ‘everything going right for us’. We have some boring players - just they suite the setup perfectly it seems.

And to think one of the world's best managers has not noticed they're "no good" We really don’t need to have the debate, it was just a startlingly dumb comment from a spud.
In Hendo, Gini and Fab we have 3 players who close, harry, tackle and will run through walls for the team. Lacks a bit of flair but that will hopefully come with Ox and Keita.
Works well with our system where the full backs and front 3 are the attacking threat and the 3 midfield focus on dominating the middle of the park.
None of us would swap any of the 3 for a flakey show pony like Pogba or a lazy, powder puff like Eriksen

Both are good players, but similar to arsenal midfielders, then things go wrong they go missing.Perfect example yesterday, watch Pogba when he loses the ball in the lead up to the second palace goal. He just wasn't interested in tracking back and palace inevitably scored.
Compare that to Hendo when he messes up in his own half yesterday, Pepe breaks and does Robertson but Hendo makes a recovery run all the way back which stops Aubameyang tapping in the rebound after Adrian's save.
That's the difference.

Spot on.. too much flair in Midfield in the prem and you get completely crushed...I used to have worries over our midfield but not anymore we have the right In Hendo, Gini and Fab we have 3 players who close, harry, tackle and will run through walls for the team. combo of graft and quality, and the stats back that up.. Hendo in his new role looks superb and Gini keeps getting better and better and Fabinho is class,
can't wait to give the Spuds a good tonking this season.

This Smarty guy comes out with some really weird st... I remember last season he claimed that Spurs were better off having just lost a game than if they
had drawn... Very odd logic he seems to go by.. At least BCM talked a bit of sense.
To be fair to him now all the other wums have been banned he has to do all the heavy lifting himself.had drawn... Very odd logic he seems to go by.. At least BCM talked a bit of sense.
He's bound to get the odd one wrong when he's posting for 5.
You only need 2-3 world class players to build a world class team. The rest need to be 7-8/10 players who work extremely hard in the roles that the manager assigns to them (assuming you have a good enough manager to do that).
An 8/10 player working his socks off in a role he understands can be extremely effective.
