I’m sure the team would give a guard of honour -=they’re professional after all.
I’m not so sure the fans will be so unanimous.
Yeah, you'd probably get about 30% sensible rival fans being respectable (staying and clapping), 65% leave in a huff, 5% morons booingI’m not so sure the fans will be so unanimous.
(that applies to all teams not directed at City in particular)
There are plenty of tickets left for the f.a. Cup game (away) against Sheffield Wed. On the 4th March. Those games usually sell out. ....Odd. This could be because you no longer get the loyalty points on you’re season ticket for away games now.

You've gotta love Sterling.
Could he have been any more lukewarm about being at City without actually handing a transfer request in?
"I love Real Madrid, they're a great club and any player would want to join them. But unfortunately I have a contract with City, which I suppose I should probably honour"Could he have been any more lukewarm about being at City without actually handing a transfer request in?
Or something

It is unbelievable how many Liverpool fans are on this thread. I actually thought Jammy-git or whatever his name is was a City fan. And as for Stirling haters... ffs at least you got £50M for him. City got Jacksh!t for Milner. Grow up. ....Anyway... pub time.
Who's hating Sterling? He's a good player who deserves to be at a top clubThat's what his agent says anyway...
He's a good player but not THAT good. More than happy with the fee we got for him. He's at a club where chances are lined up on a plate for him and he still underwhelmes most of the time. See England where chances are fewer and he gets something like 1 goal in 20 games.
Thought you deserved the win today, maybe you can stop bhing about VAR for 10 minutes now.

Liverpool fans hate him... not City fans. Some of the ‘plastics’ I talk to are eaten away with hatred of the lad all because he chose to move to City.
Quite and their cheerleaders in the press exacerbated this (with a bit of racism thrown in for good measure).Despicable club obviously forgot that they he’d only joined them from QPR a few years before.
But then, they do like to portray themselves as victims ...

Sterling can be a brilliant player (on his day), but I don't think he has any loyalty to City, he will go to wherever the biggest pay cheque is and arguably Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world, the trophy cabinet speaks for itself.
It wouldn't bother me too much if he left tbh, I want players to play for City who would give blood like Mike Summerbee and Mike Doyle did..
I don't blame Raheem, it's a short career and he could break his leg next week.

No objection here for him wanting to move to a club that has endless financial resources and was winning stuff
The way he and his agent went about it lacked class and grace.
You’re not doing too bad bit of spending yourselves... I’d hate to be a Southampton fan in all honesty. But all said well done this season. The way he and his agent went about it lacked class and grace.
I like him. In the last couple of seasons his decision making has vastly improved to the point of world class.
However we’re far from a one man team these days and if he fancies a new challenge in the sunshine then thanks a lot and good luck.
He’ll always get a warm welcome, if he comes back playing for someone else, from me.
