I see the full report is out from CAS
Perfectly normal for a company to decide the sports team they sponsor deserves more money for their already agreed sponsorship deal on four different occasions over three years. Absolutely above board. Nothing to see here. Time barred. Exonerated.
I'd be interesting in how you'd spin that to real shareholders? We've got a contract at a fixed price already, but we're going to use more of "your" money to pay more for the deal...Perfectly normal for a company to decide the sports team they sponsor deserves more money for their already agreed sponsorship deal on four different occasions over three years. So going through the summary it seems that what was said in the leaked emails was true, and that Man City had provided the emails. UEFA's case hinged nearly entirely on those emails and the CAS felt that the emails themselves did not meet the burden of proof required to find Man City guilty. UEFA needed evidence of accounts and transactions, which would have needed to have been provided by Man City and third parties, and because Man City could not provide them, the burden of proof could not be met.
So it seems, in order to find a club guilty of breaching the FFP rules in this way, the club itself literally has to provide its own evidence against itself.
Plain to see the smoking gun and the guilty party holding it though.

My mum was moved from Manchester (further north) when WW2 kicked off . Two of my Grandfather’s ( mum’s dad ) brothers .. Sammy Cookson & Jimmy Cookson played for City. (1920’s) I think Jimmy moved on to West Brom. but Sammy had a good career with City (right back) about 300 appearances I believe. So it was my Granddad Frank Cookson, who made sure I didn’t follow the reds like most of the kids.
Jimmy Cookson was my Grandfather and I was named after Sammy.Cheers Sam Cookson

I’m surprised that you’re in for Ake. I just do t see him as the imposing leader you need. I see you’ve had a bid of £40m accepted but I don’t see him improving you to the level you need.
What will that take Peps spends to on defence? we hit half a billion yet Leicester Loyal said:
Good solid signing and can play with the ball at his feet pretty well too.
Do you think so? I disagree as Man City need a leader, someone to replace Kompany and I don't see Ake as that person. He can play with the ball pretty well, but Man City need more than that. They need someone to impose themselves on the defence and organise them and someone who is the best there is. I'm not sure Ake is the right person to do this. Just my opinion Leicester Loyal said:
Leader doesn't have to be a CB I suppose. If Stones is on his way out too, then they'll likely sign another CB anyway. The main issue IMO was Fernandinho playing CB all season, it hindered them no end.
Strange how they havent gone for a right footer tbh - 2 left centre backs cant think of many that has worked but 2 right seem to (strangely) The jiffle king said:
